I know I'm not alone in being a huge fan of @Phantom's CPC Blades set. I love the look and style of the chips, as well as everything James Bond (in case my username doesn't tip that off).

So a few months back, when he was letting go of some Blade extras, I snapped them up. I wasn't sure what to do with them at the time -- why not a mixed custom set, right? I'd figure that out later :)

Naturally, the small set of chips -- and the whole purchase experience -- was awesome.

Then, a little while later, @Phantom offered up the rest of the set for purchase, if I was interested.

In other words, he had me all...

How could I turn that down?

I was initially hesitant to buy someone's custom set. But @Phantom assured me he has other CPC plans, and I was really just freeing him up for those.

Thankfully he didn't change his mind before I made the call :)

After an (also thankfully) brief wait in US customs in Chicago, the full Blades set made their way here today.

I left work today all like...

And now I'm happy to present the new US branch of the Blades card room :)

Now my photos are no match for his epic pron thread -- seriously epic stuff -- but I couldn't help snapping a few photos when these arrived today.

Thanks again @Phantom -- you built a great set, and I'm happy to have them.

Now I'm off to play with my new toys a bit more. On to the pron:

Superb prOn Ian ;)

It really does justice to the classy beauty of the set.

Thanks for sharing.

Credit to CPC too for their aligned inlays. Who else does that?
All the other manufacturers of true clay chips for consumers do - that would be, let's see ....uh... umm ?

China clays? No chance. Ceramics don't have inlays but they usually charge you extra to have the edges line up with the faces.

I'm a huge fan of this set. Its clean and sexy. Inlays, colors, everything about it is awesome.

You're right of course :D

I took what he said as specific to the 007 bounty chip. The way they got the blood flow of the inlay to be aligned perfectly with the change in chip color is especially awesome in this case.

Oh and I love these chips as well. Perfect spot choices for this theme.

I took some (admittedly sort of lame) action shots of these at a recent game. They're tons of fun.

I need to get them on the felt again. Maybe tomorrow night with a Vesper or two. Or three.

Can I borrow the pics for this?

Took a photo the other weekend -- I was trying out Key West nickels with the set. Maybe sacrilege to combine the two different chips, but I actually thought they worked pretty well.

At least until I do a Blades v.1 addon... :)

Good combo mate. In Licence to Kill (Timothy Dalton) he goes to Key West to get Sanchez, so most appropriate.

Yes, the music in Bond films always makes the movie better.

A vast majority of the time! Here are a few that I've never been in love with.

And the one that was so bad, it caused the reboot. Madonna!

All time favorite is still:

Hmmm, yes, I have to agree with this list, except I don't mind the View to a Kill :-).

My favourite is the instrumental one for OHMSS - so emotive.
