Hi PCF !

For the last couple of weeks I have been working on a new project idea, called The Burgundy Club and I want to share it here with you to get your feedback and advice even if if I ruin the surprise effect of a future Pr0n.:p

I first worked on the tournament version with no intention to do a cash version, but after decided to do some tests just for fun, loved the 1$ combo chip and then created the full lineup of a fun cash version too.

I will have to choose wich one to order this year and leave the other one for next year. But we play 2 to 3 times more in cash then in tournament and my wife and daughter like more the cash version so I guess I already have my answer. ;)

I consider these two lineups finished and already received the " @Kid_Eastwood approved" stamp so I'm pretty confident to share it to you.

Backgrounds

I wanted to make a tribute to my place of birth, burgundy in France (that's a lame excuse to buy more custom CPC sets right ?)

Design

I first tried to find a decent idea, tried some french cliché designs "La Bourgogne", "Cercle de Bourgogne" but too detailled for a so small inlay and way too « old school » stuff.

Then I decided to go for an international (so english) version "The Burgundy Club", with a modern logo and a straightforward approach for the inlay.

Mold

I have seen such beautiful custom sets with the B-Diamond mold here and I like it. of course that's the perfect choice for my theme "B" for Burgundy :)

Spots

I already have solid (Le Boudoir) and D14 L3 spots sets (Silver Shoe) so I was looking to stay at the same level but for the fun cash set decided to go for an upgrade with L4/L5 spots. This time no specific pattern in line up, just tried to choose base color and combo that I like and I hope with a decent lineup.

The only rules were to have a lot of colors, not reuse the same base color for an other chip in both sets and no to use the exact color as spot that I already have as base color for an other chip of the lineup.

Inlay

Wanted a black/dark grey background for one set and a white/light grey for the other so a white logo version and black logo version

And keeping a classic touch with the use of the arms of burgundy in watermark background.

For the fun cash set needed a fun touch on inlay so decided to go for the grappe in the same color as the base and a specific color for the denom not used as a base color so a dark red was a nice choice as we can see on inlays in Paulson home series (WTHC, Pharaohs, National Series…)

Here in closeup the $1 and T1000 inlay

I would maybe change the base color of the 50c chip to light green

I think you made the right decision to move away from the blue 0.50... Of course you can have whatever colours you like but I always think of that as a 0.25 or $1.

Also, why the .10 and .50 for fracs? I get using a .50 denom but only if that were the lowest denom for a small blind BUT you have a 0.10 too... Using 0.05 and 0.25 keep your denoms the standard x4 or x5 across all your lineup. Some food for thought. And so you don't feel so lonely on this thread. LOL.

Thanks for your post @swana ;)
Light green will be my choice indeed
Yes I now you can be disappointed with these denoms but I already have sets like this and it is a nice repartition in play imho
You can play NL20 (10c-20c) but also NL10 (10c-10c) pretty straightforward.

Also there is no quarter coin in euro currency :p

Thanks @Gunnar ! Happy to read that somebody else like it :).
I’m struggling to finish inlay template in full vector have an issue with watermark arms but I have help from @Kid_Eastwood and @Colquhoun so I’m not worried ;)
