The board of directors finally approved a new name for the club. While I think the legal entity is still properly known as the Casino Chip and Gaming Token Collectors Club, it is now also legally acceptable to refer to them as the Casino Collectibles Association.

They also have a new logo.

This is a huge step for them. While a name change and logo simplification may have seemed like a no-brainer, many club members tend to be resistant to change. I'm glad the board of directors stepped up and made this happen.

Details can be found here.

Always thought the old one was pretty stupid.
The old one served a purpose at the time it was created, but has long outlived that purpose, IMO. Very, very glad to see this new moniker adopted.

If you join, tell'em I referred you! Or not, since I probably learned about it from you.

When is the ancient forum software getting a face lift?
One point of note - although you may be aware - is The Chip Board isn't actually part of the club proper. It's owned by Spragg & is on the same server as the official CCA boards, but it's really just the original members' personal hangout, and is used as a way for them to sell chips without compromising the official boards with such sales (apparently there's been some legal advice given that for-profit sales by individuals should be kept fully segregated from the official, non-profit boards). If he wanted to, Spragg could theoretically just transition to a more modern software platform since he's the owner, but it was originally Greg Susong's baby and still serves as something of a legacy technological memorial to him, thus some of the prolonged attachment by the more senior members.

Of course a lot of the attachment to the boards by my estimation is just general resistance to change, but *shrug*...it's possible I don't have the complete picture on things.

This is what has kept me from joining. I can't figure an effective way to look at the boards. It reminds of when I was in high school and internet search engines looked somewhat like this, which annoyed me then as well
