Full House
Well folks, the Captain is slowly moving around the The Godfather Club readying for the 100th session of The Executive Game.
I’ve had several consecutive runs of games spread dating back to the late 90’s. They’ve all been great games with great players. The Executive Game is enjoying its 100th offering in 18 months. This is unprecedented for me and begs into question the advanced thought I’ve put into the game and hosting it and of course the present crew. I’ll shamelessly plug PCF for amping up my enthusiasm for my setup. I don’t have to tell you how the pride we all take in our games as hosts is contagious.
This two-table event will showcase Big Red; our home built oval and workhorse and the debut of the Black Hole; our recently completed home built ellipse. Next week as we begin working on our official journey towards Game 200, we’ll be back to one table. Well spread two table cash games monthly because they’re such great recruitment tools.
Some noteworthy nuggets:
*100 games in 18 months
*910 seats filled
*3 Royal Flushes
*Progessed from limited food to real food
*50+ player Rolodex w/ 27 playing 10+ times
*Game represents 11 Nationalities
*Player age ranges 21 to 60 years old
*4 active female players
*Has always been a dedicated deal game
I could probably go on and likely will.
Thank you Godmother for letting me create this “build it and they will come” atmosphere, players for being here regardless of weather etc, my coworkers for hanging on my every word on Mondays about the fun we have, and PCF and its members for being as passionate about the game as I am.
We’re very lucky.
