I'm just about to pull the trigger and process the order on my custom set from CPC.

After hearing they were set to close next year, I had a race to somehow, get the money together and come up with a design before the end of the year.

I have ebayed around 50 items to raise the money for this set - it was practically like having a second job on the side!

Story behind the design is the dog represents my own dog "Roman" see the pics. He is always present when I run my home games, walking under the table and getting attention from the guys as they play. He has become somewhat of a mascot for my home games.

Hope you guys like my design. I made the inlay design myself.

EDIT: Update on the T500 chip

I just did something similar! I took photos of my dogs and retraced them in photoshop to create the inlay logo.

Since you’re a new user, I have a few questions for you. Have you ordered a CPC color sample? Have you checked out the threads that go through optimal set sizes and starting stacks for tournaments?

Hi Phoe9x - yes I have samples and have trawled through the galleries on here to help decide on colours.

I have 2 custom ceramic sets already (chipco and BR Pro) - so I'm massively excited that I'm now about getting a clay set (well, 4-5 months from my order).

Breakdown is for a single table of 10, with 10k starting stacks and up to one rebuy per player - or a freezeout game with 20k starting stacks. Also have enough 100 denomination chips to colour up the green 25s after the first break.

80 x T25
100 x T100
60 x T60
160 x T1000

Really like your chips by the way - great colour choices

Gotcha, I just checked your level so you don’t post much.

I think the 500 and 1k chip might be a little close under dark lighting (I’m out of town so I don’t have my sample handy) especially with the yellow and pink/darker yellow and darker pink(red) and large edge spots.

I think the inlay could use more work. Let’s add a background to it. Paw prints? Fun repeating pattern? Something more than a white background. I’ve seen some fun ideas in the custom chip category that you could take a look at to spice it up.

Inlays can be changed after purchase! I thought you were looking for feedback, didn’t know you already ordered lol.

I think the set is pretty nice as is, but I think adding a little something to the inlay can only make it better

CPC and David are amazing to deal with. If you explain you need a bit more time and to hold off on production for the time being, I think that definitely could be arranged! Plus, I think their mold is often rotating(?) The circle square mold might not be the one installed right now, so I would bet time is definitely on your side. Regardless, as long as you're happy with the chips, that's all that matters :)

I kind of went with a similar inlay design to the stock chips like you see on the Rounders chips inlay. I hope they come out well.

Do you think they would let me change the colors on the T500 or the T1000 to avoid any potential problems with dirty stacks under low light?

I think your mockups are great and you're gonna love this set of chips...CPC all the way!

Thank you very much. Its such a big purchase for me - I dont really have much disposable income and had to sell a lot of my stuff to finance this set, so I just really hope they come out well in terms of color choices and the inlay design.

Your post has reassured me.

Your inlay is clean and simple and your dayglo and retro color choices are going to pop. (The only non-dayglo/non-retro color choices I see in your set is black, and well...black is black!)

the "about to order" in the thread title had more immediacy than I thought as well, measured in seconds/minutes rather than days/weeks :D

I just asked David Spragg to change the edge spot on the T500 from the dg yellow to dg peach.

I think this will look nicer and also eliminate any potential dirty stacks.
