The durability of Chinese ceramic poker chips (1 Viewer)

I think it's going to be difficult for most people to comment without knowing what type of blanks they're using. I'd encourage you to try to find out.

If you're into economically priced ceramics, I might encourage you to look at the chips offered by @justincarothers.

That said, most ceramics are pretty durable and I've never heard of anyone having major issues with them. The only exception in my experience was a product called 'Scrolls'... which were quite fragile and are a little pricey for what they are: https://www.straightpokersupplies.com/poker-chips-sets/scroll-ceramic-chips.html

Okay, thank you for the input.

Have a good weekend :)

The Nile Club ceramics were also quite substandard -- both weak materials and not flat.

The "new generation" of ceramic chips, by Sun-Fly and BR Pro and what I have sampled of 'Tina', feel quite durable. Though I haven't handled them enough in direct and repeated play.

Thanks all.

It helps tremendously with the decision :)

In the interest of science, here is the inside of a Anita's (Tina's competitor) ceramic cards mold chip. I received 2 chips that were broken in my order. Both were repaired with crazy glue, creating 2 zombie chips. I don't think the glued chips have seen action yet though. Mostly they just allowed barrels to be filled in racks. I over ordered, expecting more losses in shipping and quality control but really only had 2 duds out of 3575 chips. There is some colour fade out on the rolling edge of some colored chips, but nothing that would keep them from use. I'd buy some again without question.

I did a test with a scroll chip, I threw it from 12 feet on a concrete floor a few times and no damage

Tinas aren't invincible lolol

Took my incredible hulk of a drunk cousin half a dozen outbursts to smash this one

For the most part (99.99%) of time and people they should be absolutely indestructible
