Looking forward to all the before and after pics of people's chips after sets are built out and cleaning/maintenance, but for now let's see the pron as is!

I struck out and am still looking for a rack or two of the hot stamp dunes sahara $5s. If someone doesn't need them all, let me know, please.

Now back to the showcase. ;)

From the opening pic, there looks to be enough very good’ish $5’s to cherry pick a few nice racks.

I only went for the SD $5’s but looking at those pics makes me wish I had went for them also.

I'm going to have big BIG envy as this thread gets going. These sets are going to be awesome when cleaned up. Congrats to all you lucky doggies.

Hyped about how these clean up! Had some time to clean a couple racks of fives and a barrel each $25/$100 today. Need some oil as well later on!

Now for the not so pretty pron:

The $1s are unfortunately in horrible shape. Most worn denom and more importantly 99% of mine have very dark inlays. And about 50/50 regular size/oversized. One came pre-murdered, lol.

The $5s are tires for sure, but clean up nicely and the shaped inlays are just awesome and super bright on most of them. Before and after:

One casualty so far:

I sorted 200 chips on condition and got two quite different racks from that.

Pictures are of two stacks of 100 chips each. Best rack on left, worst on right.

Compared to a barrel of hundreds. Makes a difference in stack height when in barrels as well.

And there's two inlay sizes on the THC $1 as well. Heres a couple pictures of the smaller style. However the bigger problem with these is that most of the chips have dark discolored inlays unfortunately. I got about 50/50 small and big inlays in my order, and about 97% discolored.

I was expecting all to be tires so pretty amazing that half seem to be in just regular worn condition. We’re there any that were noticeably better than the “superior” conditioned rack? Ie: stand on edge

Yeah, agree. Out of the 300 I've looked through I put 160 in the bike tire pile and 140 in the good condition pile.Theres definitely some variety in the 140 superior as well. Didn't really look at stand or edge or not, but I found at least a couple now that can stand on edge with some balancing.

Edit: my criteria for sorting was to get matching stack heights with the worst of the $25s and $100s. And I wanted to keep as many as posible obviously. I think you can likely sort the 5s into three different categories if you bought 1000 of them and want to sort for matching racks.

One of my boxes is taking a detour through a couple cities in Cali. Had to say their final goodbyes I guess.

That’s unfortunate. I went with RHC because I like the clear labels and they had no discoloration. I love these chips so much from the colors to the feeling of shuffling. Thanks for snagging these Jim!

Honestly getting the rhc $1s is probably the best play here if you need $1s. I'm getting matching condition $2s instead, and will ditch the $1s all together!
