Pan, originally known as panguingue, card game played only in the western United States, where it is popular as a gambling game in many clubs. It developed from conquian, the ancestor of rummy games.
Ummm, what's this? I don't have any packages coming in, and this sure isn't small!
I was super careful in opening it, because I was going to get a picture of how well packaged it was, but alas was so intrigued I forgot the midway picture.
I opened the package, and realized that I had received my first PCF letter! And damn if I wasn't absolutely beyond blown away. I suck at effort and have beyond no time, so my love language for my wife and all of you jackwagons is typically finding and buying stuff for people. I'm not good at the packaging, at the gestures, and all that, but it is my absolute favorite to receive!
Stephan (@PrOnAddict) took the time to put this together. And not just with chips, and not just a typed explanation, but there was even something for my kids (and I kid you not, they fricken loved it and immediately ran off to go do their thing).
Here are the contents of this mystery package, minus the personal stuff:
Some interesting things! It was pretty much an entire box of things I would have snap bought. Literally stunned and excited. I'll just do spoilers so I don't take up too much room for those that don't care.
It's a spoiler so I can cuss? How fucking awesome is this? I've tried and been meaning to try again to get some EU chipping stuff, but the market isn't really the same, and there's not just a line of people constantly buying and selling. Love the DBs, and I really dug the Macau plastics. There's a lot of plastic/ceramic/clay/etc. of various WSP and such chips, got two more to add to that display. Oh I forgot to add, there's even individual chip stands and whatnot, of which I had 0, so yeah awesome on top of awesome.
I know, shitty pictures, but again no time. You know I need every custom sample thats been done, and I just got a bunch I wouldn't otherwise have! This is a quick look at some of my favorites that came in. Dig the hotstamps, especially The Golden Mortar, stoked to have the BCC Monterey Clubs (I think I was legitimately actively looking for those), and love having Euro specific customs.
Anyways, apology for the long post, but this really deserved some love. It's great when you get a package that even makes your wife go wow, that's really awesome. Stephan, in the US we have a saying, Karma's a b**tch. I'm looking forward to boxing up this last purchase for you, there's definitely going to be a solid surprise or two!
Small package arrived yesterday with a new router bit. Really excited about milling existing roulette chips and the ones I have sitting at a friends in Spokane.
--> shipping time from US to german soil: 5 days
--> shipping within Germany: 10 days
Ordered four sample sets ...
Valentino Poker Club: nicer than I thought these would be ... sweet colors
Lucky dragons: the colors are not so bright, but 12 different chips is a plus, but I do not like denoms on the edges
Tiki Kings: very nice design, I like the edge spots (but only seven different chips)
DDLM: was very curious as these chips get hyped in every thread I read about some
---> what can I say: absolutely legit, great design, great colors, the edges are awesome
If I hadn't ordered a semi custom set in the Prestige GB, the DDLM would be my choice for ceramics (but as the new set will be a tribute to our new born son, my wife was not too amused about a skull theme)
Nicest full ceramic chips I have seen so far - the pink/blue chipsare my favorites - I did not like the orange chip on all the pictures I have seen ... but looks great in-person!
Cool mail day, my amazing brother @Jeevansluck decided to add this beauty to my collection of Overland dimes! Almost up to 120 now
Did I mention it was free, even with shipping from Canada! Another amazing letter thank you for the kind words brother!
Finally I got to see @Tommy new tape on this beauty... hurt my feelings to cut it open! Truly a professional packing job Boss!
And finally I got my hands on a few of these cool Matsui racks!
Very interesting... I would like to see them a bit more rigid... one of these hits the floor by accident. I think you're picking up pieces. But still awesome concept
The dealer buttons are from my very good friend @Jeff they made it buddy and thank you so much! The Little Ceasers button is definitely up there on my favorites list now, I haven't seen this dark Native lights button before and in person the colors are amazing!!
Awesome start to an amazing weekend! Thank you all!! Fellow Chipper Ben
Yeah the Matsui racks are definitely thinner than I would want. A full or partial rack would surely shatter if it fell any distance. But I still like mine.
I agree on the Native Lights buttons. Both the dark and light versions are beauties.
And I’ve wanted one of those Littlle Caesars buttons ever since I saw them. Great idea for a button.
