My fortress of solitude.
I haven’t seen anyone post these up yet. My buddy just ordered the 10 seater and I got the octagon. His 10 seater doesn’t fold, which I like over the Barrington, but you’ll need the space to store it. I will be hacking his oval up later on to add to this thread soon enough.

We will be testing the toppers from @rjdev7 for his table, I’m pretty positive they will fit exactly as they do in the Barrington.

I will be having an octagon shaped mat made for mine by a guy on Etsy. My label in the middle, nice and simple. Thx @dickthebaker

So, here it is! This should make for a fun project, and I’ll enjoy it as a secondary to my other table.

I found my base on offerup, and waited for it to have its moment…. This is it! Off with the brackets and folding legs!

I always have scrap from other projects, and I love to use them. Considering wood costs more than leaded THC hot stamps right now lol

Hacked up some pieces, made a few holes, and cut some MEGA DOWELS!

That’s it for now, more to follow once my hardware arrives!

Awesome! Exited to get an update from you, and please post it all in that thread for everyone, super good info to have.
Got the table this morning. I got it for $400 over a week ago and it was on sale. Absolutely worth every penny solid as heck put together very well. The dimensions are a little off but that's a good thing. Because if it was as wide as they said it was, the topper would be seriously short. As it stands now, it is a little short on the length and width. Nothing that is a deal breaker. And it possibly could be quality control with the poker table factory. Also, it is not laying completely flat. Once it works itself out, it'll even be closer to the edges. Overall very happy. It is also built way better than my IDS. 10 player that I paid more money for. At $400. This was a deal. Right now is back up to almost $500. Just wait until you see it on sale and snag it

Those look pretty solid for an off the shelf table!

Don't take this wrong, but I feel like extrapolating your build skills based off your tool setup you could build a killer custom table for <$300 worth of supplies, curious why you didn't go that route?

I have a mega build planned. I promise. These are halfway tables for outside garage shenanigans.

I’m just waiting for my kids to exit the house, so I can take over a room and make it into my “Lou’s Card Room”. I don’t dare make a table that will cost me that much effort, and keep it in a shop. It will be inside furniture.

The only other thing that sucks is who they ship through off of Amazon. They use NSD "non-stop delivery" pretty crappy. Shippers. Go look at their ratings on Google. They have a 1.3 lol. I must have gotten lucky. Everything was in perfect condition. It just took forever

@louBdub too bad you're not in Pennsylvania. I'd sell you my IDS 10 player 8-ft table for the price I paid for my serene life. I paid like $500 and change for the IDS and it's going for like 900 plus nowadays I only used it like three times lol

Came here to ask why you bought a table like this withe that wall full of power tools.

Saw it was asked and answered.

Well done with the project as it is.

I love this oval table. I just stacked some chips on it and tried shaking the table to see how it held up. Doesn't move. My IDS 10 player table shakes all over the place. And if you lean on the edges it bends and feels unstable. Not this table. I actually like it a lot. So much so that when the railing starts to wear in a few years I will absolutely replace it with a thicker railing. This table is definitely worth $400. I went and pay much more for it though obviously
