The Sun-fly hybrid chips - polyclay (1 Viewer)

I'm kicking around the idea of a limit set and someone had mentioned the ceramic hybrid option. Kind of shot it down because I'm dumb, I don't know anything about them.

Does anyone have info on these. Cost? Minimum order requirement? And most importantly has anyone bought these? Have any pics, etc?

I did email Sun-fly but haven't heard back yet.

By all accounts, you should consider the 43mm option. I think that would be great for a limit set. They have pink and blue Ncv if you may play various limits.

Do you know if there is a difference in price between the 39 and 43s?

Price difference between the 39mm and 43mm chips at SUN-FLY is small - under 5c. The exact amount depends on the volume you're ordering.

On minimum orders - I have this from SUN-FLY:

"300 pcs within 4 denomination, at least 20 pcs in 1 denomination"

In context, I understood this as meaning minimum 300 pieces per denomination, with one exception where they'll make as few as 20 if you've ordered four other denoms with at least 300. Basically, if you order denoms of 25c, $1, $5, $25, $100, they won't make you get 300 of the $100.

They may also have an overall order minimum of 1500 or 2000; I don't know. I was inquiring regarding amounts of 20,000+.

I may also have completely misinterpreted. Maybe their overall order minimum is 300. Sometimes things are lost in translation... but if you order 300, the shipping will make the per-piece price very, very high.

That's what I was thinking as well when I read it. If it is the other way, it is misleading for sure.

Implying 70/70/70/20 meets the minimum? And 130/130/20/20? And 240/20/20/20?

To me, those are all four denominations within 300 chips. And 300 pieces within 4 denoms is something else entirely...

In context of our discussion, it doesn't make sense. I'm re-reading them now.

The discussions was basically, "we're ordering 25,000 or 35,000 chips. What's the minimum per color?" Answer: "300 pcs within 4 denomination, at least 20 pcs in 1 denomination."

I may have read it the wrong way because of context. I initially asked for clarification, and looking at the chain, didn't receive a direct reply. It happens to matter for the current Group Buys, so I'll ask the question in isolation to make sure I have the right info.

From the web site FAQ:

How many colors/denominations can I have? And the quantity?
For a set of 300 pieces you would be allowed to have 4 different denominations, and 5 different denominations for 500 pieces chips. So, if you order 1,000 chips then you could potentially choose up to 10 denominations. The minimum order per chip would be 25 pieces for any 1 denomination.

What is the minimum order quantity?
The minimu order quantity for all standard design chip sets is 300 pieces chips.

It would appear that the minimum order quantity for any one denomination (of stock chips) is 25.

Interesting - but I find no FAQ on the SUN-FLY web site, only the Apollon site. That suggest that may only be the policy for Apollon - as you, the stock chips.

But it sounds awfully similar to what I was told for customs. I'm feeling hopeful about response to my query to SUN-FLY about it.
