I'm hoping this will become the official go to comparison thread for anyone looking to buy a Nanuk case to house their most precious of cargo. I'll keep the OP as a flexible document of the pertinent details about each case, and grow it with each new case I purchase, adding real insight and a few of my own do's and don'ts as I stumble across them. I'm going to try and make it as complete as possible, but I'm open to including any additional information I've overlooked that will help you make an informed(ish) decision before you buy from your retailer of choice.

Down below is the playground for your questions, comments, and pr0n. I'm looking forward to all of your tips and tricks too!

This will probably take a few weeks to really round out, so hang tight while I get this polished up into something really useful. Thanks for stopping by!

I’ve been slower than I though adding all the details on these models, but I think I can make up for it with some pr0n.

I’ve been busy getting all my chippies into racks and racks into cases. And I can even see some of my garage floor now after cleaning up all the shipping boxes. Double bonus!!

Yellow cases = Cash
Orange cases = Tourney
Silver cases = Cards
Black cases = Specialty sets

915: 16x25 pieces (3.75" tall in 2 pieces)

925: 21x31 pieces (4" tall in 2 pieces)

Do people use racks with lids in the cases or ok with no lids and the foam top holds them in place?

I’ve done both. I prefer the closed lid cases because I use these as my long term storage option as well, and it takes the guesswork out of whether they’re still in the racks or not.

An inverted tray works just as well on the top layer if that’s more your speed though.
