These chips look promising.... Am I wrong?

Bonafide hot-stamped 'clay' chips by the legendary T.R. King Company.

How many are you getting? :)

lol i'm working on a solid project and could really use those but yes it's an auction. I was hoping to keep them quiet and for six days I was good, now :(.

I'm out, I would definitely not want to come in between a member here who has those exact initials.

Especially not when I was just going to mill them out for a project.

Good luck James, go get them!

These are on my radar...but if James wants them then I'm also out.
GL !

You were going to mill out TRK's?? And you're admitting it in public??? Isn't that sacrilege?

In a heartbeat. These were someone's personal set with their initials not old school casino used chips.

TRK sold to the public so it's really giving them new life and a purpose.

I also wouldn't have a problem doing it to home line TRK's like Kings Crown.... Especially the $10 denominations which serve no real purpose anyways :) Flame away

No flaming from me. Was only joking.

Now, though, you invited the ire by going after the KC's. I'm afraid to even quote that... :)

Thanks again Guys!!

Here's the story I received from the seller.

Dear jfcj,

Honestly, a friend from work gave them to me because he knows I like old "stuff". He is in his 60's and said they were his dad's. He threw them in a dumpster and thought of me and retrieved them. I've had them for about 5 years, but I'm down sizing. Funny, huh? Fate...

Dear d,

Do you know the story behind these chips? Were they a family members or did you have them made?

Just curious.

Nice score! I passed on these, but had a hunch they might go cheap. Seriously considered them as my first foray into the TRK rabbit hole, but stepped aside when I saw JC's interest. Glad you got 'em, James.
