This table on craigslist? (1 Viewer)

That is a STEAL! Go for it!

lol I guess that's pretty clear. Ill contact the guy and see if I can arrange for a Saturday pickup since I'm out of town until then... hopefully it's still there

that base alone is probably $400

Yes, this!

I'm not a fan of the racetrack, or the cupholders IN the racetrack (chip golf anyone?), or the raised play surface (making it more difficult to ship chips into the middle). However, I'd have zero problem playing on that table, especially only $400..

Instead of removing the race track, you could built a removable topper that fits inside the rail that is easily secured after removing the drink holders, and if you want to change it back no problems

Have Fun

This may be off-base as I am far from a table expert, but I wanted to provide some additional perspective to keep in mind as you inspect this table.

Based on the seams in the rail and that specific base, I would be concerned that this could be a lower quality, imported table. I had a table like this that I bought brand new for $300. The metal portions of the base were hollow metal and the "wooden" portions were a particle board type of quality. If it is the same as mine, I sold the table for $150 and the base separately for $50.

This table looks different from my old table in that the playing surface looks more padded, but be sure to check the rail foam. If it feels hardly padded, the low density foam will dent with use and not bounce back.

I apologize if this is an incorrect assessment. I just want you to be aware of all possibilities as you weigh the option of buying the table. Could be a completely different table and much higher quality when viewed in person.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

Thanks for the advice! Very helpful!

Yes, this has the potential to be a great deal. As noted above, there is no substitute for looking over the table before buying it.

That being said - - the base alone is valuable as are the four chairs. This should be a welcome addition to your poker room so long as you have a use for a nice poker table.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention that a nice table deserves nice chips. I hope that you will be inspired to find a set or two or three that are suitably nice to be on such a fine looking table. We can help with that.

PS I can not offer opinions about redoing the surface of the table. My mechanical skills are not adequate for that task.
