Hi,

I keep seeing good things about the Tiki Kings and I love the design. Most of the recommendations are based off the set from a while back.

I see that BR Pro, Old West, and PGI currently sell them. I believe Old West and BR Pro are made by ABC using their custom blank (both sample sets shipped from same location). I have not received a reply to my email to PGI about samples. The site says they are Chipco blanks.

I also see that quality of ceramic chips varies between supplier due to many factors (printer, blanks, etc). I have seen posts where people will get the "same" ceramic from different places and color saturation and resolution vary.

This is my first "nice" set and I am having a hard time deciding if and from who I should buy. 600 chips aren't cheap and I'd hate to buy something that does not live up to all the reviews I have read. I also have nothing but my cheap 14 year old eBay plastic with metal insert set to compare to.

Anyone buy the tiki kings recently, from who, and what were the results. Any insight on which seller to go thru? The only samples I have been able to get are from BR Pro and Old West. I would really like to know how those compare to the PGI ones as far as quality, color, resolution, etc on recent purchases. Also how they compare to the older suppliers?

Thanks!

Thanks. I have samples for the ABC ones, but not hearing anything back from PGI. I was hoping someone had already gotten both and could provide insight.

Are you going through the right channels? I don't remember the exact details, but I think there might be a website for PGI that they don't really respond to? Do a search, or mayber somebody can chime in. I remember ordering through a website, and then following up with an email to an address that was suggested here, and my order was filled. But I'm not sure if it was because of the website or the email.

ABC now owns BRPro Poker, so no surprise that an order from BRPro was shipped from ABC. And based on the post below, it would seem that @OldWestPokerSupplies does not actually make Tiki King chips either, but merely sublets the work to @ABC Gifts and Awards (hence a sample set ordered from OWPS also shipping from ABC):
We bought out BR Pro late last year, and with that purchase own the licensing rights to the Tiki artwork. There are no other manufacturers licensed to use this artwork.

Regarding the sample sets...you wouldn't believe the variations in the sample sets we found when we got all of the inventory. We had to throw away a ton of chips that weren't sellable.

Thanks,
Gene
So chances are that PGI won't be making them, either. The samples you already have should be identical, and are likely your only option. And I'd recommend speaking directly with Gene at ABC about your order.

My only Tiki King samples are originals from BRPro Poker, purchased long ago..... and so are pretty irrelevant to your current situation.

I got 2 sets of samples of the Tiki Kings from BRPro about 4 months ago and they are very nice, really great design. As ceramics go this is the set I would get. Plus they are my kids favorites if that counts for anything. Welcome to the forum.

Hello Guys,

i´m looking for second hand Tiki Kings Poker Chips.

i´m from Germany. Unfortunately, they are very expensive here.

Do you have any idea where i can get these Chips?

Greetings
Janek
