Debating between just spending the money to throw a topper on my octagon table or buying some speed cloth and pulling staples fow a couple hours? I know I see a lot of guys with 8 and 10 man ovals and pics of the toppers. They look great! Anybody have pics or experiences with an octagon table?
Or should I just head over to Costco and check out a Barrington...with a custom topper lol

For my oval table I've decided I'd rather get a topper than spend the time refelting it. And once I factor in my time it's well cheaper
I was kind of thinking the same thing too. Its still a good solid table. The structure and legs are good but the felt is getting loose and wrinkled. Homes games rotate and the table is used by me and the kids more than poker nights with the guys.

why not both?
A reasonable question honestly. In my case, the underpadding of the felt is still fine but one part of the felt itself is sun bleached and I'm tired of spending 20 minutes with the lint roller getting it clean before every game. So something I can roll up and put away solves those issues plus also lets me get more than one and swap them out to keep things fresh. I doubt at that point I'd want to go back to just plain black or SSC so may as well save the time and labor and just get the topper. I can always decide to put new padding and felt on the table itself later on down the line.
