I swear by Tournament Director. Agreed that it's the best money I've spent in my poker room. Yes there is a learning curve, and it's probably overkill if you aren't running a league.
Yes - I have a Dell XPS laptop for this purpose. It allowed me to almost ditch using Excel completely. I only use it not to export and clean up to send out to the group. You run it on a PC, Craig?
I've been using PokeyDIY in my Macs for ten years but support stopped quite a few years ago and it does not run in my newer Macs... Bummer but now I'm looking for alternatives. I do not use any League management as I have created an XL spreadsheet for that with all my preferences for League play...

This looks like all I need, but I can’t figure out how to get it on my tv screen. Is that an app problem or a tv problem or a me problem?Blind Up App is one that I am fond of it with a lot of features but the free trial version only offer up to 8 ppl table
If you just looking for just the blind level and timer, I suggest the PokerTimer App

Agree 100%. If you run tournies often and change your formats up/and or host multi table events it's worth the cost times five.I use Tournament Director. It felt like a big learning curve but once I learned, it made hosting a poker league so much easier.
Changed the whole dynamic of our poker nights. Lot fewer questions thrown about blind levels, how much time is left l, what the next level will be, when will there be a break and so much more.
Probably the best $40 I spent for the game.
Are you trying to cast it or use a cable? This looks like all I need, but I can’t figure out how to get it on my tv screen. Is that an app problem or a tv problem or a me problem?
I was hoping to cast it - I don't have a cable that will go from iphone to tv (do they even exist?)Are you trying to cast it or use a cable?
If you have a ChromeCast on the TV you can cast your entire desktop using a Chrome browser.I was hoping to cast it - I don't have a cable that will go from iphone to tv (do they even exist?)
Anyway I'll probably just try whatever one those guys are saying works on their laptops, then hdmi it right to the tv
Bad news is TD is a Windows only thing. Good news is TD requires so little out of a computer that I have run it on one of those pitiful windows tablets you used to buy at Rite Aid or Walgreens. Is tournament director only for a PC or app based?
And do must people then have a cord running to a tv or just use the laptop screen?Bad news is TD is a Windows only thing. Good news is TD requires so little out of a computer that I have run it on one of those pitiful windows tablets you used to buy at Rite Aid or Walgreens.
Yup. HDMI usually. That lets you have the one screen up on the laptop to handle things like eliminations and table moves while having the clock and good stuff showing on the TVAnd do must people then have a cord running to a tv or just use the laptop screen?
