Hey all,

I’m in the market for a tournament set of poker chips and wanted to get some recommendations for chips that might fit what I’m looking for.

I would be hosting home tournaments but would also like to travel with these for an annual golf trip. The most people I would ever plan on hosting would be for 2 tables of 8. I’ve got the tournament structure figured out so just need to figure out what chips to get.

Main things that I’m looking for in a tournament set is durability, quality, and something somewhat unique. I thought about customs but I think I would like a standard set that I could easily add into if I want more chips.

I have a cash set of the venerati and I really like how they feel. I could get a tournament set of them but I was thinking that I would switch it up so there’s never any confusion between the cash set and tournament set. I got a sample of Laurel Crowns because I like the simple design but the top feels a little rough for me. I thought about getting a sample of the Turbo chips but it seemed like the faces were rough and there was some durability issues for a ceramic. I also got a sample of the Monte Carlo’s and really like them but I feel like a lot of people have those. I’ve got a sample set of the 8 bit chips from BR Pro on the way also. I’ve got my eye on the super poker world chips also because a lot of my friends are Mario fans but not sure how to get my hands on a sample set.

I’ve just recently gotten into the worm hole of poker chip so most of what I know, is through YT videos and these forums. I would appreciate any recommendations, especially from anyone’s who’s had good experiences with their chips.
