Slug - Jim B gave me this when JM from CT and I went on a tour of the old Maine factory. This is the chip after the inlay has been put on the chip and the edgespots have been cut and pressed but the chip hasn't been through the machine yet to get the mold stamped. Pretty cool.

^ starts to give one the sense of the amount of artisan work that goes into making these.

Some people play with these and don't realize that some of the inlays are different....

The original inlay is on the nickels, quarters, ones, twenties, and most fives. It's a picture of Truman hanging out my car window on my lap that J5 masterfully isolated and turned into a really nice inlay picture. Truman was about 4 years old in this picture.

The hundos were ordered with the original set (I think, in 2009 or 2010) and use an inlay picture from a shot my wife got one day with Truman staring at a pumpkin. He was 4 years old in that picture as well.

600 of my $5s have the same inlay (different denom obviously) as the $20, but almost 300 of them have a newer inlay that commemorated our move to our current house in 2012. This picture is from when Truman was 3 years old or so, and I call it the bow-tie picture - his neck rolls look like a perfect white bow-tie. I took this picture of him one day in the sun when he refused to come inside. Stubborn lovable bastard!

About 60 of these have a different edgespot - when I had this done in late 2011/early 2012, ASM didn't often do this sort of edgespot, so Jim B did me a favor to make 'em but they were significantly laborious and we had the remaining 240 or so of my add on order use the original $5 edgespot.

On the $2 commemorative chip (also a live $2 chip but only 110 or so exist and I only have have 80 left), you can see Truman has aged a bit - actually a lot. This was taken in December 2014 when he begrudgingly agreed to get dressed up for a Christmas card - he's 8 years old in this picture and he's started to lose some muscle structure in his lovable scrunched up face, and his brown spot over his right eye is faded.

The commemorative non-denominated (not live) picture in the BBOTB6 chip from this year is from 2013 when he got dressed up for his birthday (with that ridiculous hat my wife put on him, which lasted about 4 microseconds longer that it took to get this picture). He still has that full bulldog face and the brown spot over his right eye is visible but you have to look for it.

The whole progression - and look for a 2017 BBOTB7 commem as well in the coming months.
