Trying to figure out value of an old watch (22 Viewers)

I’ve got this pretty old omega watch and was looking to probably sell it but have no idea how to figure out what it’s worth.

I took it to omega for some repairs and just got it back today and so it’s certified that it’s real and functioning properly.

Any suggestions on how to get it priced? The band isn’t original I believe

Condition matters - this market is pickier than we are about chips.

The market is illiquid and opaque.

That’s a decades old retail Omega Constellation. I own 3 of the 90’s-2000’s style. My grandpa used to have a pie pan that I would wear today if my parents hadn’t lost it somewhere.

Yours looks more recent than the pie pan. I’m guessing 1970’s.

If you had the exact reference number it would be easier to search but here’s a general search on eBay. I imagine the value will be modest without specific additional provenance.

My guess is a c-case with linen dial (maybe a variation of 168.029). I think the 70s reference is probably spot on.

Won’t throw a value out there, but search r/watchexhange for references of that model to see if you can find a gold w linen dial.

Same guess 168.029 YG linen dial. You can also search eBay Sold listings, I'd wager mid to high hundreds (*unless it's solid gold case). Just serviced would help.

Just contacted omega and got this email confirming a few things. The watch is reference number CD 168.0029 (https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/watch-omega-constellation-c-cd-168-0029)

This timepiece features a gold capped case with 30m meters of water resistance. It's also from 1967 apparently.
