Yeah, these auctions make me ill at my stomach. I love the chips and would eventually like to acquire some more, but to see them selling at these prices makes me wish they would all just go away, and/or has me contemplating selling my set for customs.

For PCF and CT members, that is true. For the general public, though, who are not familiar with these chips, this may be the new normal for Paulson's, as they are otherwise not obtainable. And I suspect this is the type of effect that Paulson was hoping for when they pulled out of the market, as it means their casino pricing doesn't look as bad compared to the price of the "home" market chips.

i like these auctions to see where the top of the market is even if it seems nuts.... if there is a trend for some crazy prices being paid i will jump on that bandwagon and unload a few that i am not madly in love with.....face it we all have prices we would take for most of our chips.

at the same time we all have paid a crazy price for a chip or chips we just had to have and screw how much it cost.....nothing wrong with that either
