Depending on how many chips you are looking to clean, I recently bought this model on Amazon and it works really well at cleaning 20-30 chips at a time (~3-5 mins).

I don't use the salad spinner method that is outlined in another thread within PCF, but rather gently stir the chips with a wooden spoon (method shown here).

Here are some before and after pictures.

For the amount you’re going to pay for shipping back and forth, might as well save up a little more and buy your own;)

thanks steverino--which one did you opt for and do you have a reccomendation?

I bought the small one - "A" for cleaning parts at work.

It works fine for us, but it probably won't hold a lot of chips.

The digital timer one - letter "B" is bigger and less expensive and should work for you.

The nice thing with McMaster Carr is that they ship the day you order. We get our stuff the next day.

I think you could find used for a good price,
I find my vintage cleaner for 20€ in a ads site.
