Some of those small labels UPS adds to packages for internal use have RFID. Could be to track higher value packages and to combat employee theft. I noticed UPS trucks have RFID readers on rear of them.

If my pay and benefits to drive a truck and deliver packages were almost $200,000, the chances that I would ever steal anything would be zero.

So now workers can easily tell which packages are high value just by seeing if it scans with RFID....
Not comforting.

I don't think workers would have that ability. Loss Prevention probably has software to track these packages in case of theft/investigation. You can't see the RFID tag inside the label when it is on the package either.

My ex FIL, RIP, made 6 figures delivering for UPS. Theft is the last thing on their minds.
