Got my first Paulsons today (just a 7 chip sample set).

Over of the reasons was to see what everyone is fussing about. I've never even seen one face to face before (pictures and video isn't the same) and I just wanted to know for myself if they're really worth the hype.

They are. F#ck me, they are. They feel like nothing else, look like nothing else. I was expecting a noticeable but relatively small jump in quality from the other samples I have, but no. The build quality - the "significance" if you will, the colours , the feel - is amazing.

Now, you all know this already. But I'm just sharing my thoughts and maybe reminding you of your "first time" alone with a naked chip.

Oh and... If anyone has a tourney set of Paulsons they're giving away for free, let me know - I don't mind which, I'm easy going like that :)

Giving away the Paulsons for free? What do you take us all for...chip sluts? :D

Some people would argue that TRK's have an even better feel to them (although I'm not one of them). TRK's tend to be even more expensive, though, so if your wallet fears purchasing Paulson's, it's best to avoid TRK's completely.

Welcome to the world of chipping, and enjoy the journey! Be sure to post photos when you get your first set of Paulsons and your first customs.

Slippery slope. Very slippery slope.

From what I can gather, its like a log flume water ride where you pay X at the beginning, then when you get near the end you suddenly decide to pay XX to make it longer, then XXX to make it steeper. And one way or another, you don't get off alive.

Can confirm that everything Psypher said about TRKs are true.
Also, welcome aboard!

I don't mind my wallet being doomed. It has five US dollars in it (don't ask me why - I'm British) and some receipts. Yeah I can live without my wallet.

I'm trying to figure out what Paulsons to start buying first...so difficult to choose...one

So if Paulson is out of the home market for good, I am guessing that all the Paulsons ever made for home market are in circulation now and that we can only hope for casino closures and chip sell offs to secondary markets?

Yeah... Next thing you know, you are eyeing Bahamia's or PNY's or (God forbid) Ritz or Olivia's!

Well Played Sir!!!!

Welcome! After years of trying to amass a set of chalky new palsons i am nearly there. there is NOTHING like new chalky paulsons. I have a few trks and they dont do it for me, and that is the point find what you love - then get HEAPS of them. some people talk about how many you need. Pffffttt to that! If 1 is god 2 must be better Right?!?!

then find a guy to do some sticker inlays....

and well... Its kind of like the scene out of the matrix you take the Red Pill...

and this happens...
