Not Mine Wacky Denoms on what look like new China plastics (1 Viewer)

I saw these the other day, I must admit I really like the color combos!

based only on the pictures i would be inclined to think that these are similar to the 1st edition injection molded dunes (and similar chips). those were pretty slippery if i remember correctly and are quite different from "today's" china clays.

The only use for these denoms would be to pull a candid camera stunt on the regulars in my games.

I think if they tried to play $1/2 NLHE with $4 chips their heads would explode.

Glad to learn that Casino Grade Clay is the new Injection-molded Plastic.

lol, now the chip denominations make sense:

WHAT ARE BLIND BET DENOMINATIONS?

Blind Bet Denominations are a way of valuing chips based the on blind structure of popular blind based poker games including Texas Hold 'em and Omaha. By having the values of the chips follow a particular blind structure, it makes posting blinds, betting, and increasing blinds very easy and enables player to use their entire chip set rather than large quantities of minimum blind values as well as avoid the hassle of truing pots and player stacks. Experience Blind Bet Denominations in your next home tournament and see why Blind Bet Poker Chips are the best poker chips available on the market.

EXAMPLE BUY-IN CHIP DISTRIBUTION FOR THIS SET

This 300 chip set can support up to 8 players with a 50 big blind starting chip count using the following schedule.

Imagine trying to bet something like $143 with these chips, people would be breaking out calculators on their phones!

who cares, when posting the blinds becomes so easy.

I thought all good poker players knew math...

7 black ($112)
2 green ($16)
3 blue ($12)
3 white ($3)

$143.

These look like China Clays, actually the price isn't too bad, just find the denominations amusing.

Hmmmm.....using 15 chips isn't very efficient..... I can make that bet with 'only' 12 chips: 8x$16 + 1x$8 + 1x$4 + 1x$2 + 1x$1. Better to just throw out 9 x $16 chips and grab $1 change. :D

Not china clays... you can only get deep sharp-edged mold markings like that with injection-molded plastic.
