So I have a new poker room, many great chips and an old but functional table, built by PokerSharkTables. Here is the room it will go into.

I had been watching an eBay seller for the perfect layout to show up. And eventually it did

This was an extra or overrun from this event! A real event in Monte Carlo too!

I was thinking about having this made by @T_Chan , but I am exactly 2,928.6 miles from Vancouver. :( But @Tommy has a list of table makers listed on PCF and it turns out that I am in the local delivery area of jdcpokertalbes, run by @Irish.

So it was easy peasy to take him the Layout and let the party begin. It will be 72 x 42 with a raised rail in black suede and handmade, sturdy but simple, legs.

Irish was nice enough to send pics so I will post here as it progresses. Thanks Irish! And thanks to all the advice I have gotten from folks on here.

Here is the first installment of construction pics:

More to Follow...

@Irish makes great tables, you can't go wrong with his work. The fact that he's close to you is a huge bonus. Looking good.

I'm very curious to see what kind of legs you are getting. I've seen some very creative stuff made by Irish.

Diamond crown, DCM, hemis, opus - you have excellent tastes @jadillon . Those signs are awesome, looking forward to seeing them up close. :)

Yay build threads!

Irish we use the same router, LOVE that bosch! Also, cool to see I'm not the only one who uses full sheets of ply for the raised rail over riser pieces. Looking forward to seeing this progress!

That's one of numerous routers I've collected but definitely a favorite. I have an older porter cable 690 that I cut my teeth on many years ago that I still prefer for some more detailed cuts but you can't beat the power the bosch has.

Yes. Those signs were collected over quite a while and quite a few Fuente-made cigars! We can have a cigar when you come by with the Table.

Ok. Second Installment of pictures. Construction is well underway and in these pics the rail and the legs take shape....

Captions speak for themselves. @Irish seems like he is doing great work on this one!

So here is the next installment. Rail and layout alignment. The placement of the layout was much more time consuming than I thought it would be. @Irish was patient and a huge help, but I was somewhat unsure. Now I think it is perfect! Only final assempbly to go. I may have those pics in a day or two.
