There was some discussion in another thread about doing a Weird Al-themed set. I've been a huge fan since hearing him on Dr. Demento when I was maybe 8. Thought I'd start a thread to discuss possibilities.

My initial thought: cash and tourney sets
  • One with the different "faces of Al" from his videos: "Fat", "The Saga Begins", "Smells Like Nirvana", "Amish Paradise", etc.
  • One with deep cuts: "Weasel Stomping Day", "Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota", "Alburquerque", and so on
Let's dare to be stupid, and talk about it.

@Timmah @Cratty

@SeanGecko just happens to bear an uncanny resemblance to Al.

I’ve been an Al fan since 2nd grade. They played Eat It at the roller rink (yes, I’m that old). From there it was love at first Al. In 2019 I got to do a meet and greet at one of his concerts in Fort Wayne, IN. I got my picture with him and got an autograph (on a copy of UHF on laser disk (yes, I’m that old)).

I agree with the iconic parodies. Fat, White and Nerdy, Amish Paradise, etc. I also think we need a polka chip and perhaps a drum solo chip? I really don’t think you can go wrong with anything Al related.

Me and Al (150 pounds heavier then)

And what better way to say "I love you" than with the gift of a spatula.

Unfortunately I don’t have any graphic skills. Ideas are all that I can offer. If I did have the skills, I think I would make a Weird Al cash/tourney set and possible a UHF stand alone set. There’s so many things you can pull from UHF.
