That's how I got hooked too.
Started with the Barrington modifications; ended with (well, let's be honest, it's not really ending any time soon)

Welcome

Welcome to PCF! I did the mods on the Barrington table with lights and it turned out fantastic. Follow the plan!

Barrington coming in tomorrow. Looking to upgrade chips now, at a local poker club and they got the majestic chips. Looks like I may be placing an order.

I checked that post out, so what exactly is that. I’m very new to this but I def love the feel of these majestic. Are those similar. I read the FAQ and mentioned Paulson but I don’t know if I’ve ever played with one.
They are bulk chip orders that @justincarothers put together I believe he takes a small cut. They come from China and are very similar if not exactly the same as the Majestics except you have many many more options. They are great chips. Paulson no longer sells to the general public as a result Paulsons are MUCH more expensive. You are only going to find them on the secondary market. Chances are if you have played at some big-name casinos you have played with Paulson chips.

When we go to Jones Beach for shows we take the ferry from CT and drive east on long island. The produce on the side of that road is so freaking good. No wonder everyone is so happy there. Plus the water pressure is wicked good as well as those all night diners for after show pig out. Now back to your regularly scheduled thread

Would you say they are created the same as majestic. China clays? Sorry for all the questions, if answers can be found on other posts let me know I’ll read up.

I believe Majestics are Tina "ceramic" chips (just like Justin's from broken arrow) neither are China clay chips. An example of China clays would be the Pharoh set from Apache poker chips.

Hopefully another member can correct me if I'm wrong.

I ordered sample of the pharaoh one already so we’ll find out!

Majestics and Pharaohs from Apache are China clay. The Tina chips from Justin are ceramic, and while they are also from China, have a very different feel and sound from a China clay.

Recommended to get samples of them all to make the best assessment.

C'mon. The fact that Paulson doesn't sell to the public is not the only reason Paulson's are more expensive. Paulson's price on bulk orders to the casinos is more than Majestics or Tina's (based on the NAGB pricing). They are two different products.

Welcome from western Suffolk County!
Nice! I’m in eastern Nassau lol

Already ordered Apache samples. Placed a request for Justin’s as well!

Thanks for the info. Apache doesn’t have the majestics listed as China clays. Unless I missed it.

Absolutely. I definitely never said it was the only reason. Thanks for adding more information though.

Correction - Apache does have them listed as China clays. So yes Justin’s Tina chips and Majestics are going to be different. As @Colquhoun stated.

I believe the empire set they sell are Tina chips.

Cool. Can’t wait to get samples in my hand. This damn table mod cost me about $800 with the cost of the samples already . Beats buying a $3k Triton table tho.

Yes, I believe the cards mold chips that Apache offers are comparable to the cards mold that Tina offers. I would also recommend considering the hybrid ceramics from Tina, the web mold and Greek mold chips. The feel is great, they sound more like clays than cards mold and they won’t have spinners. Well worth the bump up in price.
