One of the best dudes you will ever meet

Wrong. That guy is a total douchebag.

Thanks, Mike.

Is that a real rock ?

I am guilty of over-using ellipses.

Wedge - do I know you from PMC?
Yes, I've been around HPT and Keens--->PMC and CT. I have other time sinks now. @detroitdad has been around here for awhile and I joined awhile ago on an invite from him but didn't stay active. I came back to give Dr. Lecterr some comments on his Rounders artwork, and have just been skimming some of the posts here and there.

I'll probably drop by every now and then because, y'know, I don't have anything else going on in my life. The chip addiction is never really conquered...it always pulls you back.

Currently? No. Lacrosse. And baseball. And piano lessons.

Kids are -EV for time at the felt.

Hey bud, missing a solid game tonight. 6 for a pre game dinner, 8 for cards. I get it. If I had been into poker when my kids were younger you wouldn't have seen me very often either. It was only baseball/basketball for me.

I don't miss baseball season. Five nights a week.

I think Jake is seriously considering going back to school in the fall and getting his undergraduate degree. He was accepted as a "work study"??? They will pay for have of the degree if he chooses to do it. He is going to wait until he takes Actuary exam #1 (which he has said is one of the hardest things he has ever studied for). That says a lot coming from him.

Trey has a baseball game (in the rain and 40* weather) and Ace has an overnight birthday party tonight... But I have to get Ace at 10:30pm because we have to be in AA tomorrow morning at 6am... Maybe I should play, have the wife bring him to your house after 1030 and we can both crash on your couch... Quicker to AA in the morning. 'Cept I gotta grab Deuce too. Oh yeah, and Trey has a doubleheader tomorrow morning that starts at 8am (arrive by 7am). FML.

I have a buddy that teaches advanced Calculus at Farmington HS. He gave up hopes of being an actuary based on the exams. Those are tough.

Jake has his undergraduate, no? Do you mean his Masters? Or does he only have an Associates? Doesn't matter. That kid is gonna rock it no matter what he does.

He has a Bachelors Degree in Actuary Sciences. Your right, its a Masters that he is thinking about going for. I think he said Applied Economics.

He has been studying 2-3 hours a day for the first exam. He said its hands down the toughest thing he has ever had to prepare for. If he passes the first exam I think he will put the Masters degree on hold. Like I told him. Your only 20, and your debt free from school. Take your time.

Heather graduates next month from your two year radiology tech program. All kinds of big shit happening at my household this year :)

I was lucky. Only my oldest and youngest did sports. They didn't overlap.

He is only young and unencumbered for a short time, tho. Its alot harder to go back if he doesn't continue on. You should encourage him to enroll in his Masters in the Fall, IMO. He'll be glad, I think.

I took 6 years off then went back to get a doctorate. Finished that and started a Masters. I didn't finish the Masters degree because of work. Pretty sure I'll never finish it now. But going back at age 28 was alot harder than continuing on when I was 22.

He doesn't want to do both at the same time. If he passes the first test he is going to schedule test two. If he fails test two he is talking about starting the Masters program in the winter semester.
