What’s chips are you using for cash and/or tournaments? (3 Viewers)

Currently using Majestic chips from Apache (CC) as my tournament set.

Also, have some chips to host a cash game. Since we play very low stakes and I only play with trusted friends, I use those chips as well for my cash games. But I know most people who play bigger stakes don't use a set you can buy online as a cash game set to make the game more secure.

Brand new Monte Carlo tournament chips from discountpokershop. I first had gotten the $25 chips with yellow on the far right and liked them enough to go ahead and order a full set. Well I didn't realize there are two different types of Monte Carlo chips and I did not order the correct ones. I didn't like the new ones at first when they arrived, but now that I've played a few hours with them, they are just fine. I will probably even buy more to make a slightly bigger set for two or three table tournaments.

No cash chips yet but I'll watch for group buys here, or go with either Empire or Monaco from apachepoker. I got a bunch of samples from them and those two are the ones that most people at my table would choose.

Thanks guys! Just trying to get a feel for what’s out there, get a little inspiration and see what other people are using

I think you might need a few more

Got any favorite sets?
LOL. I'm not even close to some of the OGs on here. I used to host weekly games, so it was pure joy to pull out different sets each week. We only play once or twice a month now, so the excitement of having multiple sets has diminished.

Yes. My TRK Rounders and TRK Deadwoods are very close. If I had to pick one, it's probably the Deadwoods.

Tonight's game uses chips from the original Boat buy. Not quite mint, but they are so tight in their racks that you can lift the rack with the chips.

PS I wouldn't own my sets if I had to pay market prices today. Most of my sets came to me 15 - 20 years ago. Nothing cost over $2/chip. Many sets were built under $1/chip. Truly, the good old days
