Nice list.My list of favourite cards
(prices listed are converted from euros to us dollars with exchange rates valid at the time of posting this)
1. FOURNIER
By far my favourite brand.
Best balance between quality, subjective feel, value related to price.
price examples(imported from Spain)
-2800 Titanium deck, 9.72 usd+shipping per deck
-2826, 14.58 usd+shipping per set
2. PTW
Fournier card stock with Copag graphics.
A value for money choice regarding Fournier card stock from "Play To Win" company.
price examples(imported from Italy)
-PTW One Way/PTW 1.0, 4.58 usd+shipping per deck
3. ANGEL
Good quality cards, great shuffling and feel, cards back feel is not my taste. Difficult to get and highly overpriced when purchasing from eBay.
price examples(imported from eBay UK)
-Aristo Club, 45.70 usd per 2 decks, shipping and import taxes included
4. CARTAMUNDI
Great acetate cards, although i prefer the feel of PVC in general. Only acetate cards i have experienced no bowing/warping with in contrast to KEM and Modiano Platinum ones.
price examples(imported from the Netherlands)
-Casino Poker, 9.71 usd+shipping per deck
5. DAL NEGRO
Good quality cards, great for those who like stiffer cards.
Value for money when it comes to basic card models such as the Texas Poker and the Torcello. Pricier when getting the NTP cards which use the Dal Negro stock.
price examples:
-NTP Black Jack(imported from Italy),7.45 usd+shipping per deck
-Torcello(purchased domestically), 3.78 usd+shipping per deck
-Texas Poker(purchased domestically), 4.32 usd+shipping per deck
6. KEM
Most overpriced cards in the world. Great feel and shuffling, bowing/warping the main disadvantage.
price examples(purchased domestically)
-Arrow Wide Narrow/Wide/Standard/Jumbo, 54 usd+shipping per set
7. DESJGN
Very fine feel and easy shuffling. Interesting, unusual graphics.
Quick delivery from the U.S.
Only disadvantage the high overall purchasing cost due to import taxes.
price examples:
-Gorgon-Kraken regular index, 87.94 usd, shipping and import taxes included, price per 2 sets
8. COPAG
Good alternative to any pricier cards brand. They do not excel in anything but they also do not have big disadvantages. The definition of above average cards that can do the job. If one can get them cheap, a value for money brand. Highly overrated on the internet. Definitely not number 2 or 3 best brand as advertised.
price examples(imported from Italy):
-WSOP, 6.48 usd+shipping per deck
-Texas Hold Em, 6.37 usd+shipping per deck
9. ZERO
Good quality. Too stiff for my taste.
price examples(imported from Italy):
-Zero Tabriz 12.96 usd+shipping per deck
10. MODIANO
Another problematic brand along with KEM and Copag. These three are the most overrated cards brands imho. They get promoted aggressively at many sites on the internet worldwide. Paid for reviews often label these 3 unjustly as the best thing out there.
Main advantage: value for money when it comes to their cheaper models(Old Trophy/Golden Trophy/Texas Poker/Cristallo Poker)
Good price when it comes to their Platinum Acetate line.
Disadvantages: I don't like the feel at all. Although i like stiffer cards such as Dal Negro, these don't do it for me.
Warping problems with their Platinum line
price examples(purchased domestically)
Golden Trophy 3.78 usd+shipping per deck
Cristallo Poker 4.86 usd+shipping per deck
Texas Poker 4.86 usd+shipping per deck
Platinum 25.92 usd+shipping per set
11. PIATNIK
Above average quality but nothing special.
Their jumbo 1361 cards are too stiff for my taste.
Their regular index 1362 cards are much more comfortable to play with.
price examples(imported from the Netherlands)
1362, 16.20 usd+shipping per set
1361, 10.75 per deck
12. BICYCLE Prestige
Lowest value for money Fournier card stock version for my taste. Slippery with ugly bicycle graphics. Overpriced for what they offer compared to, for example, the PTW Fournier card stock alternative.
price examples(purchased domestically)
10.8 usd+shipping per deck
13. GRIMAUD Poker
Above average cards that look similar to the Piatnik 1362 ones. Too stiff for my taste.
price examples(imported from Spain)
6.48 usd+shipping per deck
14. ACE Group Poker
Average cards, glossy, look like cheap Chinese plastic cards
price examples(purchased domestically)
5.40 usd+shipping per deck
15. LAMPA
Average cards, glossy, look like cheap Chinese plastic cards
price examples(purchased domestically)
4 usd+shipping per deck
no rating for FADED SPADE
Have ordered months ago from their site. Contrary to Desjgn which arrived fast, these are still somewhere in transit at a different European country. Same problem with Desjgn. The overall purchase cost is high due to import taxes from the U.S.
price examples(imported from U.S.)
-Poker Wide 2.0 set + 4 Colours set,
82.1 usd, shipping and taxes included
Hard to argue with this order. But the Fournier 2800 is different than the 2818? Damn it, now I have to order some...Nice list.
FYI, Zero cards are NTP Dal Negro Blackjack stock. Different from their textured stock or their stiffer smoother stock, but Dal Negro nonetheless.
New desjgn (Grand Victorian 3rd edition) and diamond back blackjack index are also Dal Negro textures stock. Prior installments are Modiano stock. I can see how you'd rank desjgn lower because of cost to get to Europe, but in terms of feel, artwork, and pip design, they're top 3 favorite cards. I slightly prefer the Modiano stock on the Grand Victrorian 2nd edition and Caicos casino bridge jumbo cards, but the Dal Negro stock is great, too.
Rumor has it desjgn is looking for different options for another stock on future runs. Crossing my fingers for Fournier or Cartamundi Belgium stock!
Grimaud is also Cartamundi now. Different stock than the Belgian line that is softer and more flexible, but their stock is no where near on the stiffer end of the spectrum for me. Faded Spade, textured Dal Negro, and King Australia are the stiffest stock in my collection.
Old PTW stock was Cartamundi, I'm sad that they're now a Fournier stock, but the new PTW decks are very solid and a great value for the price.
If I had to rank my favorite cards at the moment, this is probably where they line up now, all things considered.
1. Cartamundi Belgium Casino stock. The nuts to me. It feels like a big game to me every time I put these into play. These were used in multiple WSOP Final Tables in the past 15 years or so.
2. Desjgn Modiano stock. Fuck Modiano, but damn if they aren't nice feeling and looking cards.
3. Desjgn Dal Negro stock
4. Fournier 2800/2818/2826. I feel that the 2800 stock is a tad stiffer than the subsequent two, but they're all nice looking and feeling.
5. King Australia. Best feeling card face stock out there. Smoother than a baby's bottom. Face artwork is standard Copag style font and back stock is standard linen. Rather stiff.
6. Guild. They're pretty much Modiano's, but a tad stiffer than their Platinum stock, I think.
7. Piatnik. Very nice and elegant cards but expensive and very hard to find. Nice, unique, face artwork.
7. Dal Negro Blackjack/Zero. Very nice looking cards, but pretty slippery. The other above options are a lot grippier, if that's a word.
8. Angel Aristo Club. Nice cards, but thinner stock and flimsier than all of the above options.
Incomplete: Faded Spade V2. I'm getting these into play tomorrow, I don't know where these will fall. Their V1 cards were a total nightmare.
I do own Copags, Kems, and many, many others, but they are only kept around as extras or for travel and just won't see play at my place, as I rotate the eight stocks above pretty regularly and are used infrequently enough that a setup will last a long time.
Nice hierarchy within your list and thanks for the useful info on cards/card stocks. King Australia is one brand i have not been able to find online. Same applies for Gemaco Superflex and Proflex which i think are not sold to the public, if i am not mistaken.Nice list.

I think you're right about that. The stock may be the same, but the backs of the 2800's have a more textured, linen stock, while the 2818 and 2826 stock is smoother and more matte feeling.I think 2800 Titanium is the model name and they are also 2818 cards just like the WSOP, the EPT, the Poker Vision etc.
2818 refers to poker size and jumbo index. However, i also have the subjective feeling 2800 Titanium has a different feel than the 2818 or 2826 Fourniers.
Well now i've got to try out King and hurry up with my Desjgn order.2.
Joe, my card brother from another motherNice list.

My new favorite . Angel.
Different from Club Angel, they are birdge/regular.
It feels like a cross between Fournier and KEM, It has the softness of KEM and texture of Fournier.
I'm not sure what they're made of.
I mixed 5 KEM cards with 5 Angel cards and try to apart them with eyes closed, one of them was wrong.
They are so similar and different.
The pips is very similar to KEM, almost the same.
you can see the points is a little bigger than KEM.
If KEM are 100, this angel will be the 101. (Because of the KEM warp and cracking problem)
My friend bought these for me from retail shop in Japan. I don't know the details.Where did you found them? I been trying to get some Angel club but not luck
This all bears repeatingNice list.

The index size is great to. It’s “standard” but very easy to see. I’ve never liked jumbo index cards but now that more of us are 45+ they are preferred by many. These are by far my favorite @desjgn cards. Best feel, great flex, perfect size pips. I wish I had more!View attachment 896891View attachment 896889
I guess I meant index size, not pip. It’s slightly bigger than standard which is great. We’ve been playing a lot of Omaha and that’s impossible with jumbo index. The index size is great to. Agree, this specific card stock was the best @desjgn had. Unfortunately that stock or card plastic is not available for new versions. These are by far my favorite @desjgn cards. Best feel, great flex, perfect size pips. I wish I had more!View attachment 896891View attachment 896889
Yep, BY FAR my favorite of these. It sucks they’re no longer available.Agree, this specific card stock was the best @desjgn had. Unfortunately that stock or card plastic is not available for new versions.
nice cardsDifficult to establish an order but I would put the Fournier 2826 in first position and the KEM in last (only those with the jumbo index because I find it too big). But I like all the cards I own and I change every game. I also have Desjgn that are not in the picture that I love.
PS: I know that casinos use the bridge size but the tournament cards (like the WSOP or the EPT) are in poker size, right?

Not sure what they do in the EPT, but WSOP cards are always bridge size (and standard index, too.) Unless they doPS: I know that casinos use the bridge size but the tournament cards (like the WSOP or the EPT) are in poker size, right?

Where did you get the angel Poker regular 9999?
Where from?-NTP Black Jack(imported from Italy),7.45 usd+shipping per deck
I'm thinking about doing a giveaway, but not sure if it's worth posting. Shipping cost is going to be $9 on the winner. I would do small padded envelope, but it doesn't meet the requirement for thickness. I'm gauging if there is any interest even with the shipping cost. This giveaway is meant for sample/feeler decks as to suppose to gamble "usable". It will be Angel Aristo (new/poker/jumbo) with a small knick on the ace of spades, used Desjgn with ink fading (Modiano stock/bridge/jumbo), Cartamundi with non aligned back printing on some cards (from Spinettis/new/poker), and bowed and cracked KEM (poker/jumbo). I'll throw some used chip capsules in there too.
I'll make a post and tag you soon.Interested! I've been wanting to check out a lot of those cards. Where do we sign up?
