CW23
3 of a Kind
I am going to oil a couple and see if they come back to life. Anyone know what a set like this is worth?
Thanks sir just curious I just bought them at an estate sale. They don’t seem to have ever been played.I think $1.25-$1.50 per chip wouldn't be unreasonable.
I was thinking a buck a chip for Paulson solid hotstamp. But $1.25 to $1.50 wouldn't be out of the question...
The numbers aren't really playable as a set... That hurts the value.
Any Minnesota residents on the forum?
Might be worth more to Martina Navratilova or Mickey Nussbaum than to a random MN resident?
The top one is from Casino De Juan Les Pins. The bottom one is from the Societe Des Bains De Mer in Monaco.
So those are real chips. The top one is from Casino De Juan Les Pins. The bottom one is from the Societe Des Bains De Mer in Monaco.
You're welcome.
I'm guessing they're authentic casino jetons (I believe that's what these are called), but I was just reading the words on them. I don't know what either of those places are.So those are real chips.
Very cool.
If they're older (I'm guessing from my limited knowledge, but pre-'90 or so?), they could be leaded.View attachment 296156
So I have been cleaning these up and the seem heavy. Is that unusual.
There is a clear difference in these and my Cancun’s.
Is there anything on the chip that would signify they are different?
And they are older chips for sure.Leaded means weighted I assume.
A stack of older leaded Paulsons feels much different that newer THC's, like Cleveland Horseshoe $1's.Leaded means weighted I assume.
It means some sort of lead 'powder' was mixed in with the clay to give it more weight. (It's not a metal slug inside the chips, like cheap plastic dice chips have.)Leaded means weighted I assume.
That’s cool. Thanks for the info.It means some sort of lead 'powder' was mixed in with the clay to give it more weight. (It's not a metal slug inside the chips, like cheap plastic dice chips have.)
