Recently acquired a bunch of these. All came with genuine BJ racks. Chips fit like a glove in these racks! My question is...Does BJ still produce these chips? What is the official name of this mold? I know the embossed version of these is know as "embossed suits". Is this known as the "inlaid suits"? Seems like this mold was primarily used for frac's in a lot of the LV casino's back in the day. My first slugged 11.5g Chinese chips were copies of these chips.

I've got some that look just like this. If they are Bud Jones chips, I'll be surprised. These might be and mine could be a knock off. Mine are around 8 grams and I have seen two different versions. I used to have a set I sold that were very slick. The ones I still have stack quite well. Maybe they are more valuable than I think.

I think they are BJ suits mold chips and casinos did use hot stamped versions. I believe the BJ version is unslugged. I am afraid they don't hold much value with many.

And, yes, "inlaid suits" is pretty much correct name for these.

V1 – embossed suits (solid plastic) hot stamped
V2 – embossed suits (solid plastic) with inlay/sticker
V4 – inlaid suits (2 colors) hot stamped

Bud Jones style V4 (hot stamped 8 suits mold). Discontinued. About 7.5–8g each.

Thanks for the info. Kinda figured they were discontinued.

Yes, these are unslugged. Very high quality injection molded plastic. Basically just wanted them for the racks.

Maybe I'll hang on to mine then! They are custom printed, but without denoms. I bought them used, so I didn't choose the design. I had enough for a 1-table tournament. For a while I thought they'd be my cash chips. Funny, if I'd been able to find them in the quantities I wanted and gotten a custom hot stamp with denoms, I'd probably never have gotten into other chips.
