What is your favorite pokerhand, and why? (1 Viewer)

I’m not sure what my favorite hand is, but I definitely know that my least favorite hand is QQ. The ladies are rarely good to me.

I think my favorite hands are middle suited connectors. They tend to play well on a variety of board textures. Plus, if you land the nuts with them people rarely see it coming.

Also J9. I landed a huge pot once with it and went on to win the tournament. Ever since then I get excited when I see them, even though I know logically it’s not very strong. It’s a psychological thing.

I have a soft spot for 98 suited. First time I played in a casino (Mgm grand) I flopped an open ended straight flush draw with it, turned the nut straight and got it all-in against a set of 10s (and held).

J9 suited / spades preferably it just seems to connect every time. everyone knows its my fav hand so i like to win and show every time :) if i lose i just quietly fold lol

Six Deuce. My first time at a Vegas poker table and the pot that hand awarded me was around $2,800ish. Guy I went heads up with looked like he wanted to both vomit and stick a fork in my eye. Didn’t know much about poker etiquette back then and my next move, without even organizing my chips, was to ask the dealer to color me out. Walking away with my friend who was watching he says to me while laughing, “you’re supposed to play another orbit not just hurry up and leave.” I responded with, “screw that man. I just did some damage with six deuce. Goodnight, have a nice day.” :ROFL: :ROFLMAO:

They’ve been good to me ever since. Beautiful thing about that hand is that 1) it actually connects as opposed to 72 and 2) because the 2 is usually the most ignored and innocuous card in the deck. Quite dangerous to be holding it, representing other holdings and you literally trip someone up when a couple are on the board.

The old pair of ones gets my vote. I'll take them every time.

consolation prize to 33-because I won a bad beat jackpot with them.

NLH Favorites include:
:ax::ax: - obvious.

:7x::2x: -99.9% no-brainer, easiest hand to play … unless the 72 rule is in play:wtf:

:9x::tx: (Suited varieties only) - a pretty hand, playable from almost any position and multiple stack depths, can play well multi-way and/or connect to lots of flops, and I like to use it as an off-balance raise/3b/iso/bluff candidate in some spots

J3 off because it's the damn Invisible Swordsman.

Trust me.

I’ve seen QQ beat AA so often that frankly it’s weird.

My favorite poker hand is anything that wins the low with 87. WHEEEEEEE!

AA, and anyone who tells you it's not their most profitable hand by FAR is either lying, doesn't play more than once a year, or doesn't know how to play aces.
