...and are they still available?

Ask @inca911 - that looks like the ones he linked to on eBay recently. Slightly larger and beefier than most bargain chip carriers.

This is a Public Service Announcement on Birdcages:
I had some big problems with quality defects on the 5stardeals carriers (screws not recessed adequately), causing damage to a nice wood unit from one cage. 5star was a total pain to deal with; however, I finally got a replacement sent out. The replacement was damaged during shipping (not their fault), but again their customer service was atrocious. I would strongly recommend folks NOT buy from them. As an alternative, I reached out to vegassupplystore on eBay regarding some of their birdcages. They appear to have a good product and have agreed to price match 5star (their main eBay listing was updated within one hour of my email request). So, I bought 4 additional units from vegassupplystore. Pricing is now the lowest I've found, with free shipping.

42.99 from vegassupplystore

The vegassupplystore birdcages are almost 1cm wider than the 5stars, and the side reinforcement goes higher on each side. Both good features. The handle is a little thinner, but both have 2 screws in the bases Time will tell on wear and durability. I'm pleased with the purchase, and would say these get the green light.

This has been a Public Service Announcement on Birdcages. We now return you to your regularly scheduled chip degeneracy.

Any interest to get new birdcages made with a metal base plate and handle vs plastic? I saw some custom made by a member a while back and I've been thinking of making some for myself, maybe more if there's interest in a GB.

Maybe with some rubber or plastic pads built in for the case so they don't scratch whatever surface they are set on? A filly padded birdcage can get pretty heavy so any sharp edge can scratch easily

So being wider, can they handle the 43mm racks?
The birdcage from vegassupplystore can fit my Matsui 43mm boxes, but not my Bud Jones 43mm rack. The interior width of this birdcage's cover is 9 and 1/16 inches. Are there other 43mm racks that are 9 inches long or less?

When your chips have been drinking and are disorderly and you have to lock them up in the drunk tank for a night!

Very creative. Do you have a thread with a build on how you made those?

I use blanket labels under my birdcages...never scratches :)

I haven't seen a blanket label before. Are those something you epoxy on or where do you find those?

It's the same material you can use under the furniture, so that they don't scratch the floor. It has a sticker on one side so you use that to attach it to the birdcage.
