Just bought my first Apache Cases shout out to the post earlier made by @BigJackJones

I seen someone say something about spraying the foam with plastidip ? Or something of that nature if anyone with experience on this subject could point me in the right direction about what to buy to do this I would appreciate it

Again newbie here with Apache Cases thanks

I found some videos on it

Has anyone used anything other than plastidip ? Or is that the best stuff to use ?

I've seen flex seal get used. The more you spray, the stiffer the foam. Too much spray will keep the foam from compressing, but will make it stronger, and more prone to warping. Trade-offs...

Some of that truck bed liner would be a good experiment. Definitely test anything you do on a spare piece of foam first.

Yeah I only plan on using a 2800 or 3800 for 500-600 chips and a 2800 for a bunch of diff decks of cards

I never used these before or done any of this so we shall see how it turns out

I just did my first one. Used 2 cans of Plastidip and I am fairly happy with it. All the pieces seem to stay together, but there is still some give to the foam. I only sprayed the pluck foam pieces. Left the top padding and the bottom padding alone.

Here is my harbor freight 3800, with apachepokerchips.com 43mm racks - I used Plastidip for this, but the foam might need to get resprayed.

Set up for 800 chips, it's the perfect fit. No snags when inserting and removing the chips, and the chips aren't stacked on top of each other. Preventing possible long term damage.

This case is for my 39mm BR Pro Poker chip set. They do wiggle a lot in the 43mm racks if you're worried about that. Personally, I'm working on a low-cost 3D printed solution such as "chip sleeves" to fill the gaps.

Here is a photo of a prototype I made with literally 2x SVG files:

It'll be fine, for sure. If you mess up the foam at all, you can just superglue it back into place.
