What would be a good chip to be a value chip in a limit set complementing an inlayed Paris $1? (1 Viewer)

I am making a limit set using inlay Paris $1 chips. I will need to make a rack of value chips that I intend to relabel as Paris $20.

Any suggestions on a good chip to start looking for? Obviously it should be a good complement to the blue Paris $1. But also needs to be reasonably easy to acquire in sufficient quantity (will want a rack).

Any ideas?

I know @Jacks made exactly that rack you’re describing. Forgot what he used. I use a rack of ES $20.

I was also thinking yellow. The Tiger is stunning but not sure I have the courage to relabel one of those!!!!!

AS $25 would be a reasonable replacement for the Paris $20 Baccarat

You mean the $20 or the $25? The $20 could certainly work- its 43mm IHC.

If you’re interested in my rack of ES $20, PM me. They’re already inlay removed. I relabeled them back to ES $20 with Gear labels.

Oh, help my memory here. I recall seeing a single that was the same colour and spot as Paris $1 but colours inverted. Can't recall the casino... maybe Bally's.

Yes! That's it. Would work well for a limit set.
It’s a cool concept and those two chips which are almost perfectly “inverted” would complement each other well. But something about the look just doesn’t do it for me. Maybe it’s the fact that I always have a hard time seeing a white chip as anything but $1. Or maybe it’s kinda dull. Not sure.

I really love the yellow ideas. The last few transactions that I could find for the chips I like just seem way more that I should spend however. Literally I’m hosting a limit game in a couple of weeks and I have already spent $2k on shit like chips and whatever other infrastructure. It could easily come to pass that I spend more on this than there is total bankroll on the table during the game!!!!! I’ve only ever played limit games in casinos so if it doesn’t work at home this investment will be decidedly “low ROI”………

Agree would be an adjust for some brains to get comfortable with two colours that are both normally $1. Personal prefs are a fair consideration.

Spending on nice equipment is easier, I find, if keeping it a very separate issue from poker income. Buy nice chips because you love them, regardless of poker earnings. Something you'd buy for yourself regardless of wins/losses.

Someone used the sterling casino lines $100 as a $20, thought it looked awesome.
