So lets say someone (a friend of mine) has a pretty large set of Indiana Aztars (RHC) for both cash and tourney. Let's also say they have some of the oversized orange $1000 chips, but not enough to play in a larger tourney (over 10). They are currently using Aztar yellow roulette chips for tourneys, which are pretty rank dirty (even after scrubbing them) and kind of ruin the mojo of the chip set.

What would recommend for my friend that you would use for chips to replace the T1000 roulettes? They plan on having Gear make up new labels to match. They don't want to spend a mint on two racks, but don't want more grubby chips either. I don't think they would be offended by a solid RHC chip if it was roulette, though they don't want the kind that say roulette (only RHC). Below are pics of the current tourney chips used (for color reference)

ordered T25, T100, T500, T1000, T5000, T10000, T25000, and bounty

If you're liking the over-sized Orange Pumpkin theme, the Horseshoe Cleveland primary $1,000 might fit the bill. Pre-sale's closed now but I imagine Jim will be offering more later on but it remains to be seen at what price and quantity limits.

No, looking for regular standard size .... I went regular size with the 5k's and higher, so having mid-range oversized is kind of weird

For starters, that is way too many denominations.

If keeping the T1000, then eliminate the T10K (and you probably don't/won't need the T25K, either -- unless you are using huge starting stacks or more than three full tables of players).

Best bet is to replace the T1000 with a T2000 chip and use a T10K chip to top off the set (eliminating the T1000/T5000/T25K chips). But chances are you really don't/won't need the T10K chip, either.

Simply replacing the grubby T1000s with T2000 chips (I'd use those Santa Fe $2 chips) will make a huge difference, and is probably all that is necessary..

I had thought about using the T10000 chips as the new T1000, but I doubt I can get my hands on two racks of them. The T10000 were made as extras before I expanded the set, and I liked them so much, I had to use them somehow. I have the T25k chips to use if we have a small single table big starting stack game (25's are not used)

Has to be RHC? Garden City $200 would be sweet, but it's BCC sun mold. Crystal Park $3s would fit well, but availability is probably tight.

If you're starting a twenty player 200BB tourney at 100/200, that's 400K per table, 800K total, which is only 80 10K chips. At 300BB, it's only 120 10K chips.

If you start at 100/100 instead, those same stacks are 400 BB and 600 BB, respectively.

How big are you going to actually need 25K chips?

the 25k chips are minimal ...more of a novelty (I had some secondary snappers and wanted some big val chips for a big val game)..... however I do need two racks of T1000 chips to replace the crappy roulette chips (they do need to be RHC to match all the others)

I used to have T2500 chips too ...... remember this was early on in my chip career and I was over excited with having a new set of Paulsons. I dumped the T2500 chips not only because they were useless but because they were not RHC. (y) If they were RHC, I would have 200 of them as T1000

I'd relabel some of the Tropicana Laughlin $1s as 1k, but finding a rack or two of them might be tricky now.

There's always the St Croix $.50 yellow chip, but no edge spots.
You could try and get somebody near Sacramento to harvest some of the Stones $.50 (near impossible now) or $2 chips for you, I know some members have these in playable quantities.

wow, any of those Stone Taverns would work (even the $1's) ... I'll keep my eye out for those. The Trops would be perfect, but I can only find singles and 200 would cost a fortune

Wait wait wait!! Argosy $.50 chips!!! There were a couple racks on eBay and I'm sure some still floating around here at under $150 a rack!
