What's the funnest/easiest to learn game to introduce in my next home game? (not NL/PLO) (1 Viewer)

You’re asking about mixed limit games? Easiest for players to learn will be some form of pineapple. You get 3 cards and play Holdem rules.

Crazy Pineapple discard 1 card after the flop but we only play Lazy Pineapple and you keep all 3. It’s basically juiced up holdem. You get 3 cards and can play 0, 1 or 2 from your hand. Good way to lean into Omaha without going all the way.

And double boards. Even double board holdem. And once they r familiar w pineapple, double board pineapple.

Good way to teach players how to play “split pot” games before they need to grasp hi/lo.

No limit only, or any stakes?

Showmaha is fun, but out if you're avoiding Omaha. Draw games are fun (2-7 or badugi. 5 card draw to keep it real simple). Pineapple variants are the simplest to transition to since you're just playing hold em with a minor twist. I wanna play more 7-stud but people complain about it being slow. Don't play 5 card stud lol.

Triple hand holdem is a good one to bridge the gap. Something familiar with some extra moves to ease them into looking at multiple situations at once.

Scrotum. Fixed-Limit, Pot-Limit, or No-Limit, Hi-Only or Hi-Lo, 5-Card or 4-Card, Single-Board or Double-Board. All great games.
