Hey guys, been perusing eBay a lot lately looking to put together a cash set... i always run into auctions with these sort of die cut clay chips. Anyone know the story behind em? There's many on eBay...

What era? company? where were they sold?

Some of those are likely "paranoid" chips by US Poker Chip - roughly 1900 through 1940. They might be older, especially the hearts. It is hard to tell without a more careful examination.

This is not a case where older = more valuable. I'd guess they are worth somewhere between $0.10 and $1.00 each - but that is just a guess, sometimes these types sell better than that.

PS do a forum search on paranoid and see some interesting old ads for the chips - sold by mail order.
