Maybe it's me getting grouchy in my old age, but it seems that the level of incompetence/inefficiency at USPS and UPS has really sky-rocked lately.

Exhibit A - a 30 mile trip down the NJ Turnpike instead took the scenic 400 mile route through Albany (with 2 stops in Newark lol)

I love when they make it your city and then take a vacation somewhere else and come back. I had a package once that arrived in Denver, then took a detour to Seattle, then came back and got delivered.

This is a typical evening from our lanai. In thirty+ years of living in NJ (and thirty more in DC), I never saw a sunset like this, so I'll take the trade-off. Besides, you get used to there being gators everywhere...
