The chip collection is growing (all Paulson THC/RHC casino chips), and I need to upgrade from cardboard boxes to acrylic racks. Where's the best place to purchase? Old West Poker Supplies? Apache? Brybelly? Somewhere else?

And what size?

Apache seems to have smaller racks they refer to as Chipco Poker Chip Racks which they indicate are better for Paulson.

Old West Poker Supplies have smaller 68mm racks in addition to their 70mm racks. Again, they indicate the smaller 68mm racks are better for Paulson. Is this true?

Which supplier do I go with? What size do I go with?

Note: a bird cage doesn't really work for me at the moment because my mixed sets are 700 chips (200/200/200/80/20). I'd have to bump down to 600 or up to 800/1000 which I don't plan on doing right now. Do they even make an 800 chip bird cage?

There is a 600 and 1000 bird cage. Those Chipco trays are for Paulsons and they also sell them on Amazon.

800 cages do exist (and also 400) but I can't help with where to buy. I remember seeing them ~6 months ago when I was stocking up on birdcages.

I've got pretty bad chip and rack OCD but I'm (kind of) happy enough storing 500 chips in a 600 birdcage etc. It can be done but of course I'd sleep better if I could fill them out!

(might help, might not)

I just bought a bunch of Chipco racks from Joe at Palm Gaming. They fit Palsons ok. Not perfectly tight, but you cannot fit a spacer in with a barrel. They were $1.75 each plus a bunch for shipping.

I would go with a 1000 ct birdcage. You know you will pick up some more chips soon enough. Also, if you buy 2 extra racks, you can put them upside down on top of the top racks & they create a nice level place to put your dealer buttons & maybe even cards.
