I am using mostly Jumer’s to do a custom cash set whereby the inlay will be replaced or over-labeled (haven’t decided which…thoughts on that choice appreciated btw).

I have the $1’s and $5’s and $100’s procured. All are in outstanding condition. However, the Jumer’s $25’s I have are really beaten up and I haven’t found any that are in truly outstanding condition. There seem to be a lot of secondaries in mint condition but I really don’t like the look of those.

So I have 3 other options, all pictured below (I am a terrible photographer so did in 3 different light conditions). I’m inclined to go with the cinci horseshoe because the green is brighter and more similar to the Jumer’s primary. The Lucky Lady is my favorite but I have owned them for about 3 years and like using them in my mixed cash set and don’t want to destroy them by turning them into a custom…unless someone has a compelling reason to do that.

Thoughts?

The Cleveland Horseshoe $25 fits the edge spots of the $5 and $100 very well. I have always liked the edge spot colors of it as well.

either Horseshoe would work IMO but I prefer the Cincy base color and spot pattern.
Although, I will agree with @Rhodeman77 that the yellow spot in the Clev is sweet and no yellow in that set thus far.

Good point on the yellow. And overall, yeah the pattern on the Cleveland is better. But the base color being dark green might be the deal-killer for me. I’m quite torn on this.

I owned a Lady Luck set for about a week, and I can never remember if it’s Lady Luck or Lucky Lady. I feel better know youve owned yours for years, you JUST took a picture of one, and you still can’t get it right.

I’d suggest over-labeling because it’s easier, cheaper, your chips will retain better value, and honestly it looks better. When you remove inlays, you usually end up with a double-recess that is unnoticeable to the casual observer but sloppy looking to the trained eye.
Just 2 cents from a staunch anti-inlay removal freak. Good luck!

I’d stick with the Jumers $25. The Cincinnati is far more advanced than the Jumers $1 and $5.

The yellow on the Cleveland is like strawberry sauce on two scoops of pralines n cream - why do that? Don’t do that.

If you can’t find the Jumers $25, go with the Lucky Lady Luck $25.

Or….

One word is all you need to know.

INTERLOCKING!!!

These are very good points. Maybe I do the Cinci chip and keep my eye out for the Jumer's.
