Newbie here wanting to put together a nice paulson cash set and have a few questions. This would be a set that would see use and not necessarily a collectible/show set.

Is it possible to put together a mixed set that looks nice? Would consider over labeling but not interested in a milling project.

If not a mixed set, are there certain casinos that have more chips available than others? Struggling a little to know what chips to go after.

How about frac chips? These seem to be even harder to find.

Or should I just order a set of CPC?

Thanks for any help with direction! This forum has been a wealth of information already.

Yes, mixed sets can look nice. Just don't mix molds, unless they are house molds.

If you don't want to mill, avoid hot stamped chips.

Fracs usually have to be semi-customized because very few casinos use them anymore, so the existing ones are from older series and rarer, therefore expensive. It's a bit of an irony that fracs are often the costliest chips to acquire for their low face value.

CPC is never a bad choice if you can design a set you can afford.

Welcome to PCF! For casino sets you could probably find some recent CR sale chips like Indiana Grands, Tachi, Diamond Jacks, Jumers, Horseshoe, or Jack. Sets of those seem to pop up fairly often. Fracs will be a little tougher to find and you may need to do a relabel or overlabel.
