I am building cup holders that can be inserted by the players wherever they want. They will be black stained oak wood. Debating on whether to go with stainless or black cup holders. I think given the nail heads, stainless might look best. What do you guys think?

I guess stainless steel are readily available and cheaper.
Size should be a consideration too (@RocAFella1 , @WedgeRock :D )
If you allow cans and mini bottles, the narrow ones are suitable.
If whisky glasses are to be used (or even taller ones, but still whisky-glass-wide) then the "large" or "jumbo" ones (3.5in diameter, just like the venerable bazooka) are the way to go.:)

Yeah, most of my group are beer drinkers, so I will mainly go with standard size. But I will also provide a few jumbo size as well. It's an 8 seat round table, so I'll probably provide 6 standard ones and 2 or 3 jumbos.

Should I round off the corners of the wood? I think I should, but I'm worried about my ability to make it look good/smooth. Cut the corners with a jigsaw, then sand? I don't have a ton of tools.
