Looking for two racks of $1 chips to complete my mixed THC set. Any suggestions (or chips) would be very welcome. Chips should be sharp edged, clean cross hatching, etc.

What other chips are they going to be paired with?
I used to use Monte Carlo $1 THC chips with my Arubas. They are a pretty simple inlay and go with other sets pretty well.

Thanks, those Monte Carlos are nice. The other chips are Aztar MO 0.50, Empress $5 secondary, Aztar MO $25, and Aztar MO $100.

They'd probably work pretty well with those other chips, especially given that they all have a red denom in the same position.

Unfortunately they're not current (might still be live/redeemable). I think they switched to a house mold around 2012. And earlier, maybe before 2010, they were THC. So there was only a 2-3 year period when they were THC as far a I know. (someone correct me if I'm wrong).
Have a similar set.. but have swapped different $25s (and other chips) in and out.
I have blue Discovery $1s in my set currently. Not sure if you are opposed to blue $1s

Also Jack $1s are out there.
Nice sets! The Discovery $1s and the Jack $1s look great. I'm not sure how the black inlay Jacks would look with the rest of the white-inlay chips.
Which 25s are those in your mixed set? I like the dark green. The 1ks are PCA?

These are gorgeous chips. Someone should set up a full-time harvesting operation.
You can still get them in decent condition as the chips have been in play for less than a year, but it's been challenging to get uncirculated racks (that was the only one I ever got, and it's now in the home of another chipper.)
yes, the black inlays may look out of place.
The $25 is from Royal Venture Cruise Lines (not readily available). The oranges are PCA $500s (there is no PCA $1k).

it's true that these inlays don't fit so well with the white Aztar or Empress inlays... If only the Silks $1s weren't black..
However, there must be secondary Aztar $1s out there in quantity, no?
Yeah you are more likely to find them in mint condition from a member or someone who harvested just after they opened.
I have 2 uncirculated racks and 2 near mint racks, but got them a while back.

I've been giving those Silks a long look too. But the black wouldn't really go well with my other chips. And since I already have solid quarters, I'd prefer a $1 with spots.
But still, those Silks . . .

Just bumping with this question: are the Aztar MO $1 chips available in quantity? A quick search of the PCF classifieds turns up surprisingly few hits.

Those are pretty easy to harvest. Out of about 1200-1500 chips

Those are pretty easy to harvest. Out of about 1200-1500 racks I bought over the course of the weekend, I ended up with almost three racks of near-mint chips and an equal number of used chips for a separate project (and returned all the ones in any condition in between).

Are you putting the set together for play or display? meaning are you going to use it?
If you are going to put the set in play, I wouldn't be too concerned about sharped edges.. as long as the chips are in very good-excellent condition the stack heights should still match up well with chips that are excellent/mint condition.
