REVISED PRICING (SEE BELOW)

REVISED price to make it worth your time.

Truly mint $1 chips will fetch the following:

1-10 chips at $2.00 each + shipping
11-20 chips at $2.25 each + shipping

Looking to fill up a rack of gem mint $1 Cleveland Horseshoes. If you can go through your racks and pick out the Mint ones or very near Mint, I'll pay 4-5x what we paid for them.

By Mint, I mean like these Cleveland $5's (Hat-Tip @GoStumpy who provided them for me). They are as nice as the Secondary $25's and stack at the exact same height. Consider them Secondary $5's. The goal is a rack of $1's this nice or close to it.

The only thing I have left to trade is 8 Primary 500's and 1 each if the 25k P & S chip.

Otherwise it's gotta be a cash deal.

PM me if you can help.

Do they even exist?
I only have 3 racks, so not a huge sample size. Some are a lot better than others, but I don't have a single one I'd call mint.

I'd be a little surprised if there were many out there. I was looking around too for a while, but gave up as it seemed that there really weren't many (any?) mint $1 chips mixed in the save way there were some mint $5 mixed in.

I'd love to be wrong as I'd love another rack of them too  :whistling:

I have 4 mint $1's and about 8 more being shipped tomorrow. I expect I will pay as much in shipping as I will chips. Mint $1's may be the rarest Cleveland chip there is.

Now that's just chilly!!! The last guy that did this to me doesn't have his chips anymore. Ask Stumpy!!

Those are darn fine man.

Now PM me a price....mwahahaha

That made me chuckle....they're still well above avg.

I'd love to see what a mint $1 looks like. Out of the 500 I cleaned by hand, I didn't find a single one:(. Good luck sir!

I've only found about 30-40 mint $1s in my 3600+ limit set. They're definitely elusive.

I found 1 mint in 400 chips I looked at last night. It stuck out like a beautiful sore thumb.

Good luck finding a set I only found about 10 mint ones or so in the 2,100 chips I purchased.

Seeeeee....they do exist!

Hat-Tip to @RainmanTrail for these sweet gems. He did cull through about 3600 $1's to find this barrel and just shy of that to find the $5's for me. Awesome find bro!

I believe that's all the mint 1s I had out of 3600 chips, other than the one in my sample set. If my 21/3600 and @Payback's 10/2100 are both random samples, then that means there are only about 646 of these in the entire auction. Which is fewer than the number of 5k and 25k chips.

Although I'm not convinced that ours were a true random sample of the entire lot of 118k+ $1s. My hunch is that someone out there may have gotten their hands on a few racks of mint 1s during the pre-pre-sale, but that remains to be seen if so. The fact that HQ was able to assemble over 3000 8-spot snappers without badgering the forums like bergs and I did for months in order to get our limit sets (which, when combined, add up to HQs set) tells me that he must have connections with someone important. Perhaps there are still more of these mint $1s out there that just haven't surfaced yet.

My two racks of mint $1 chips, FWIW, were harvested not long after the Horseshoe opened. I bought them this past spring for a relabel project. I liked them, in part, because there weren't a ton of them out there. The recent sale kind of ruined that a bit, though I suppose I can take some solace in the fact that there aren't a lot of mint ones out there :)

And how much did you say you would sell me 1 rack for again????

Unless I found a better candidate to use on my project, I couldn't really get rid of a rack as it wouldn't leave me with enough ones for my set. In an ideal world, I'd actually want to add a third rack so I could already two tables more easily, but that doesn't look very likely.

Ohhh Lord....please don't post any competing $1 Mint Classified's.....LOL....This is so hard, but I'll enjoy them just that much more once I've found them.

I'm not going to, I'll leave you to your quest. However, if you ever decide to sell the ones you collect, please keep me in mind (y)
