Anyone else get anxious or otherwise go through withdrawal when you don't receive a chip in the mail for a while?

And just for clarity, I'm not talking about when you're waiting for chips that you paid for a while ago (that's a wholly different kind of anxiety), but rather that it's simply been a while between chipments.

I do, legitimately (not trying to be funny)...

one of my chip-a-holic posts was having to do with getting grumpy on your ride home when realizing there won't be a small flat rate box waiting for you upon your arrival...

I'm also finding that I get anxious or start having withdrawals when I don't have some type of action/movement in the classifieds for a few days (either a wanted ad of my own or chasing a for sale ad)...

Didn't you get the one I sent you yesterday? If not you should today, maybe it's not enough for your fix, that is the issue.

I'm still a noob so i have no idea what it must be like chasing the "clay dragon" however i think may a clue. Jeremy hooked me up with a couple Jessie Becks for free, and the kicker was that they would be coming all the way from Kuala Lumpur Malaysia on the cheapest (for free) shipping route. Case in point my very first T.R.King chips to be held in my hands took almost or precisely 3 1/2 weeks.....i started to get nervous that the had been lost but they eventually showed up in a bubble filed manilla envelope with all sorts of crazy stamps (like 6+). I've ordered single collectable chips on feebay and man they showed up lickity split status. The day that my final decision has been made for my customs (CPC's) and of course without crying about the costs , will definitely be a test of my patience on the arrival oh my sweet goodness's. Thats got to be the most difficult waiting period. You guys have been there done that, right? About how long did it take for your order to get to your house? And with higher level chips (like L7-L9's), inlays, and perhaps a hot stamped frac?

:eek:Damn, thats not patients, thats stamina. Well the best part for me, is the fact that I will be doing the art. Question, when you say "in line" , do you mean that his work load was(is) so great that not even concepts/rough drafts could be made? You had wait to get him to hear your ideas?

.... but you won't get your first concepts for many months.

Shooooot. Months? :(:(

Then yes, I have a feeling I am going to have withdrawals waiting for Mel's Casino customs. Will have to buy (and probably sell) many chip sets in the mean time, if nothing else, so I can keep up my relationship with the folks at the post office, where they affectionately call me PokerChip.

Back to the thread title - not considered to be a fool-proof method.

If practiced perfectly, one would have more disposable income for moar chips. That key word 'perfectly' though, that's the real sticking point. Pun absolutely intended.
