God I miss Magic…played pretty regularly on and off for years, but about 6 years ago I realized I wasn’t keeping up on the latest mechanics and erratas, and just kinda stopped playing…

But yes, poker tables are great for any/all games! (Except beer pong. Don’t play beer pong on a nice poker table.)

Def can be such… in cEDH (what’s pictured in OP) the community is cool with proxies. I have some decks with zero and others entirely proxy. Part of the fun for me is collecting and owning real cards but certainly not for every deck and not every time there’s a new set. To keep it with it entirely it certainly is a money grab though lol

Nice! Neighbor is great at it, just qualified for pro tour. He's a crazy aggressive poker player and attributes the Magic playing lol. Just glad there's no spells involved in Hold'em.

Wow hell yeah, that’s awesome. Magic was honestly my gateway into poker. To me the two games do manage to scratch the same itch— at least to a degree…

The archetypes I play in magic are often all in, all gas no brakes sort of strategies. I can definitely draw some parallels between my approaches to each game lol
