I'm curious if anyone knows if there is a source anywhere, a gallery of sorts, that shows pictures/mockups of chips used throughout the history of the event? I'd be very curious to see as many as there have been, maybe even make some custom designs for replicas.

The search bar is your friend. The second entry if you plug your thread title into the search field: What chips are used at the WSOP?

Wording, I suppose. My searches didn't bring up that thread. But I have seen that thread before and obviously there wasn't much shown there, and what I mean is an official site or public gallery on the net. If your first reply was to show me that thread then I'm guessing the answer to my question might be no.

Did you bother to read the thread? The third reply is from @BGinGA who links to this gallery and thorough history on CT.

There was a pretty awesome thread at CT that had lots of different pics. Can't remember the CT'ers name though - and I have no idea if the pics will even show up.

Exactly which years are omitted?

"Tournament chips" are missing from quite a few of the entries, and a few of them seem to only show a few. If that's the best we have that's fine but obviously I wanted to know.

Actually, I think I made have misread it and I'm betting the chips merely stayed the same while the buy-in chips became a thing. Sorry for the mistake if that's the case.

Yeah, it shows a historical timeline -- adding pics when new/different chips were introduced. It's not totally complete, but it has more info than any other source on the web.
