I cant begin to tell you how incredible this set is. So hard to get playable WSOP sets much less enough for an actual tourney.
We need a dedicated pron page because I will be posting some pics of mine as well - ( and we already had our 1st tourney with them ) , yes social distancing in place

Anybody have a cleaning technique for the wsop’s that does not result in any fading? Considering putting mine through the ultrasonic, but concerned there may be some fading. I don’t mind if I have to do each chip by hand if I have to.

I cleaned 1200 HSI’s by hand. I soaked in warm water with a little Dawn. Than used a toothbrush to scrub them and they came out perfect. Didn’t notice any fading but I’m sure a little oil with brighten them up.

Just letting everyone know that these chips were produced with 6500ppm lead, just before the cut off when they switched over to 50ppm lead content winter 2006-2007, this run happened before that to prepare for 2007 event. Once you clean them they clack at higher frequency and weigh a good amount as opposed to recent used casino chips produced after 2007 with more composite like and muffed clack. Pre 1998 had 470,000 ppm(yummy). However the 25,000 k and 100,000 k were produced later and have current make up(don’t know what the current makeup is) or 50ppm in them as GPI stated they started using after winter 2006/2007. Point is, Hold on to these for your dear life.

I tried to buy chips from GPI using a charity gaming license a while back and kept in contact with the guy since but he no longer works there. I asked about it and his words pretty much lines up (dates of production etc) with the presidents lead statement years back.
